Kings v. Hornets PBP thread

Here we are again, fellow Kings fans!

Time for the Kings to end this road trip on a high note, and come home!!!

No word that I could find anywhere on Webber's mysterious illness during last night's game. Hopefully, he's better and not suffering any lingering after-effects. This could end up being a "sit down" game for him anyway, although I would like to see a time when he can at least be productive in the second game of a back-to-back, even if his legs aren't as strong as they could be.

I have my coffee brewing, my purple slippers are on along with my lucky socks and my newest lucky piece of Kings wear - a great long-sleeved "trekkie" shirt (a special thanks to the sender of that great gift!). I won't don the Christie jersey until just before the game.

I made a batch of chili last night and it should be great as a snack today. (I don't know about anyone else but I think chili is one of those dishes that's BETTER the second day.)

All my totems are in their proper location and I have my purple "Webster" right by the back door in case I have to go out and clean off my satellite dish.

We got new snow here but nothing like the amounts the weather guessers were predicting, knock on wood.

I mentioned yesterday the purple car magnet ribbons they advertised during the game. They announced there would be more information available at kings.com but there's nothing there yet. Hopefully they'll have the information there soon...

Okay, I have firewood to bring in, a "preventive measure" sweeping of my satellite dish to perform, etc.

I'll be back 30 minutes before game-time to share the highlights (if there are any) of the House Party!

House Party has started. Once again, Tank is in the house.

They're summarizing the road trip, and they all agree - as do I - that the Kings MUST do something about their transition defense on something approaching a consistent basis.

We're just about ready for game time.

The snow has stopped so hopefully I won't have to trudge out during the game to clean off the dish. The fact the wind is blowing quite strongly again might also be a help, since it's blowing across the dish.

Looks like the whole team is playing. Webber is suited up and looks none the worse for wear. In fact, at least in the practice shots, it looks as though he has elevation for his jumpers.

It also looked like Eddie House is taking warm-up shots but it was a very quick glance so I'm not positive. Didn't see a jersey number...

Pay no attention whatsoever to the CHP roadblock that says you can't come up the hill unless you have 4WD or snow tires. In addition, don't listen when they say you can only proceed if you live in the area.

6th - Thanks for the kind words. I've found doing the PBP actually has me looking at the game a little differently. I'm actually noticing a lot of stuff that I might not have paid much attention to before.

If you live ANYWHERE near New Orleans, you should get your butt to the arena. It is probably 2/3 empty.
