Hall of Famer
Good thing about NBA is that there are not many days between games. Especially, after losses like the one we had on Tuesday night. Couple of wins in the next 2 days would at least make us feel better.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Next 2 games are on TNT and BSPN. I am not going to go into details here because it is to early to ruin my day but all of You can imagine the "worst case scenario." Thank God for the "mute" button.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am not going to go back to the last game because I am still somewhat pissed off. So my question is - who is refereeing the game tonight ? Seattle has beaten us twice this season and it is about time for that to stop. Rebounding and transition D will be an issue. Three point shooting too.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Still no news about NBA rewieving the tape from the last game ?
Let's hope they can all play.

CW - Fortson, James , Collison, Evans - none of them have skills to match up but is CW ready to take a physical beating inside or do we have to settle for jumpers here. Transition D will be an issue again.

Pedja - he has got to be due for a good game (shooting). Forecast: solid chances of blowing a layup and avoiding rebounding.

Brad - still pissed I assume. That can go either way. I hope it will motivate him and not make him complain about every call tonight. Might get blocked again - several times.

Mobley - expect him to play well especially after his "speech" R. Allen is waiting.

Bibby - Nash nightmare is over. Ridenaur is not as good but might cause a lot of trouble. Mike has been very good offensivelly but he just need to start guarding someone out there. Also he has a FT issue. I never thought I will ever say this but I would rather have CW shoot a FT than Mike on any day and twice on Sunday.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Darius - might end up starting and will be needed anyways.

Evans - could match up well but I do not see big minutes.

Tag - I would love to see him on Fortson a little. He will only play if one of the starters is suspended or in foul trouble.

House - he is still here and he will play. Hopefully, we will not have to depend upo him much.

Barnes - minutes decreasing due to lack of scoring

Martin - looks like he lost his minutes to House.

"Mateen section"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
RA - we do not lose 3 in a row often and I hope that trend continues. He needs to have the team ready from the start.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sonics are dangerous team and will try to milk te perimetar as much as possible. Hopefully we can somewhat contain the offensive rebounding. One of the "no name" players preferably a "big man" might have a field trip tonight.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Go Pistons !

i really don't think Brad will have an emotional break down in this game and thats really saying something considering we are playing against the ONE guy in the league that manages to get under his skin EVERYTIME we play (Danny Fortson)...he get blocked handful of times...but i say he lives with it

i think Chris is gonna ball tonight...i just have this GREAT feeling about that...Peja is gonna hit 3 after 3 after 3 tonight...giving Vlad a run for his money....Cat will get his 16-22 points easily....i see Mike really trying to get the guy all involved tonight before he tries to get off his own game

We have to REBOUND defensively and offensively...cuz as we all know Seattle is a good rebounding team especially offensively...DF and Reggie Evans pretty much inhale all the loose balls for put backs...RA has said a lot of the time Mo is on the floor cuz he's sucha great offensive rebounder...so we shall see what kinda PT this kid gets tonight....Go Mo!

i mean i look at our team and see 5 starters that can score....plus a few off the bench who have the ability to knock down an open shot time after time...when i look at seattle i see 3 that can score Ray, Rashard and Vlad...and Vlad comes off the bench...i don't think thats going to bode well for them come playoff time

and for all our guys who plan to lay the ball in the basket on the break..DON'T...TWO HANDS GUYS TWO HANDS....if you can dunk it dunk it....but nothing flashy...get the guaranteed two points...we are gonna need all the points we can get

LETS GO SACTOWN!!!!

yes DUNK IT TONIGHT. No layups e/c Bibby. DUNK DA STUFF!!! We need this one tonight b/c tomorrow night we have Dallas. GO KINGS!

If the Kings control the rebounds or at least give an effort I can't imagine any conceivable way that the Sonics could beat them.

Yeah, it hurts our offense, but we still have the other 4 who can all light it up, and Tag can clog up the middle+block shots+rebound. Only problem will be when Webber needs a rest.

see its not really ostertag that worries me...he has played for the jazz and started for years...the problem is bradley - personally i prefer house to him

Tag will be a non-factor, he will pick up 2 quick fouls in the 1st Q and he will be out of the game. I honestly don't think we have enough firepower without Brad in there to get a win against the Sonics on the road. Anyways, we will lose either today's or tomorrow's game, but i don't see us loosing both.

On the reverse I think we usually have too much firepower. Now we only have four number one offensive options, boo hoo. BTW Brad is usually the fifth, he should be higher and his shot attempts should surpass Webbs in a given game but they don't.

Last week, No Webb, Pedja and Cat.

Today, no Brad but Webb, Pedja and Cat is here with Bibby.

Kings will do well.

I think Tag's going to have a big game.

GOO KINGS!!!!!

Hopefully the Kings will play with a chip on their shoulder, keep their mouths shut, and Kick the crap out of the Sonics.

piksi...honestly, i don't know yet..heh...i think he'll try to make the most of his time out there...he does play with a lot of effort

effort is just going to carry You so far...

My guess? I'm thinking we'll go with Pedja, Chris and Darius in the frontcourt. We aren't defensive juggernauts anyway and Darius is our best shot to at least partially make up for the missing fire-power with Brad out of the game.

I have a feeling this is not going to be a close game. The Kings are TEAM oriented and, corny as it may sound, I suspect they might be going out there to win one for the Miller. ;)

I was gonna say I thought Darius would start too. But you never know... either way Tag has to get some big minutes tonight right?

Not necessarily. In fact, I actually think Bradley might see more time than Tag because of who the Sonics have at the 5. They don't really have a lumbering big guy...

I guess we'll see what happens in about 4 1/2 hours.

If Tag doesn't get minutes tonight Im going to be pissed, not neccesarily at Adelman cause we don't see what happens in practice. Tag's had his moments but he definately hasn't blown me away this year(he's one of the few players that has come to the Kings and actually gotten worse). It's not all his fault he never gets any PT, But if we are never going to use the guy, even when we are seriously depleted, why did we pay him 4+ million and only offer Vlade 2.5? I know what some will say... well Vlades injured anyways he would have been useless, but I can't help thinking his mental state after being cast off to our most hated rival(so we could bring in Greg Ostertag) didn't have a little to do with it.

KP - I didn't say I don't think Tag will get time, but I just don't see him being a major factor against the Sonics.

And Vlade wasn't cast off to our hated rival. He went back to the team he started with. People tend to forget that Vlade played for the Lakers first. He made the choice to go back there.

Personally, I think Petrie made the right decision NOT to offer Vlade the larger money. I love Divac. Have from the beginning. But to not admit that he was, in fact, slowing way down and had actually seemed to lose some of the best parts of his game - as in passing - would just be denial. How would we all be feeling right now if we HAD signed him and he was out for the year?

People can say they'd be supportive but if you've been a Kings fan very long, you know there would be TONS of comments asking why he was re-signed, why didn't we just let him go, etc.

...

Anyway, back to tonight. I'm not Adelman. I'm simply guessing that we might get a good look at Bradley tonight as I think the Sonics will have more trouble dealing with him than they would with Tag.

I wasn't saying you said that, I was just saying if he didn't play more I would be pissed. He's avg like 10 min a game! I know Vlade was slowing down but he was still better than what we have seen(so far). I haven't given up on it.. but I'm watching... Iv'e been watching ever since I heard they offered Tag more money than Vlade. Whether or not Vlade was sent back to his original team you honestly don't think that LA isn't our most hated rival do you? All that being said, Go Tag! I love the big guy I really do, and we'll need his strength tonight against Danny Fortson.

Darius should start tonigt. He's been a solid starter, and since he's not really an energy factor off the bench like Evans and the Sonics are a smaller team, he should get the not. That's not to say OTag shouldn't get any minutes. Songaila matches up better with athletes like Evans, but I think Tag should get a look against a brute like Fortson.
