Some of these names are really exciting and encouraging (Kenny Atkinson! Darvin Ham!) while couple of others are depressing as all hell (Mike Brown... Mark Jackson...). If we wind up hiring Mark Jackson, I might jump off the Tower Bridge.
What's wrong with Mark Jackson?

Maybe Jesus and hookers is just what the locker room needs!

I listened to the Ringer’s interview with Andrew Bogut and he talked about MJ. He said he was a good coach but had taken that team as far as they could go. He is an old school coach who believes in feeding the hot hand and then moving to the next guy. He said some guys struggled with his system including Harrison Barnes because he would get stuck in the corner without touching the ball most of the game and was then expected to hit a crucial corner three at a moments notice. Kerr came in and emphasized ball movement and their shooting percentages shot up.

Imagine that.

Our last (only?) good hire was some assistant off another team’s bench. Of course we fired him, but that’s beside the point. We really need to go that route again and hope for lightning to strike twice, but we’re so thirsty for that coveted PLAY-IN position we’re going to hire some retread that’s been there before.

Mike or Mark, come on down.

To be fair, Rick Adelman could have also been classified as a retread who was only hired because he was BFFs with the GM of the team.

Mike Brown would take the air out of the room that's for sure.

That's like when you come out of the car wash and a bird immediately craps on your roof.

The one that I will say about Mike Brown is that he had really developed team Nigeria into a solid basketball program in his time in charge there. Not sure if that makes him a better job candidate or anything but it’s probably better than Mark Jackson’s claim to fame (letting Mike Malone coach his team into a future dynasty and immediately crashing and burning the first season Malone was off his staff).
