Kevin Made NBA History Tonite

I just saw a ticker note on ESPN flash by that Kevin's 20 points on only one field goal tonite was only the 2nd time in NBA history that a player scored 20 or more points on 1 field goal made or less.

I'm not really sure major congrats are in order here, and certainly Kevin was again off his outside shooting game big time. Nevertheless, those 17 points from the charity stripe turned out to be important to our win tonite. Kevin couldn't hit the broad side of a barn from the field, yet he notched a 20-point game to lead his team in scoring.

The record is certainly a curiosity, to say the least.

Hey, considering how the team usually shoots from the stripe lately, the fact Kev could even get there and then be productive is worthy of some kind of minor celebration.

:)

i saw the highlights on sportscenter and was like woah! hahah most of the highlight was kevin shooting free throws LOL! good stuff :D

hey, i say get your points however you can ;)

I guess Kev deserves some sort of Archibald-Divac award then.

If you ask me, it's just another sign that Orlando weren't trying. If they'd saved their fouls and not hacked Kevin, Muss might have put Justin in, and they could hacked their little brains out.

not so.

If they weren't trying, they wouldn't have tackled him on his pump fakes and just let him shoot.

That's where he shot a majority of his FTs, but getting his man into the air and drawing a foul. Very few reach-ins/hacks, if at all.

You won't get an argument from me that is wasn't really stupid defense though. When a guy is shooting %20 from the floor you don't foul him every time down the court.
