Just Reminicing..

I was just wondering..who are/were your "original Kings"?
Mine were..Vlade Divac, Chris Webber, Doug Christie, Peja Stojakovic, Mike Bibby, Bobby Jackson, Hedo Turkoglu, Scot Pollard, Gerald Wallace, Damon Jones, Mateen Cleaves, and Lawerence Funderburke..to me they were my original Kings..even when Jim Jackson and Keon Clark came. (I remember I was pissed b/c Bobby had to put his initial, 'B' on the back of his jersey when Jim came..I was really mad at that LOL) But I loved each and every one of those guys with all my heart. They're the team that got me into liking and watching the game of basketball. The team I fell in love with. The team with all the heart and soul, hustle and effort. They laid it out there on the court night in, night out. The team with the most entertaining and most exciting show that you'll ever see on a basketball court. And they weren't just a team, they were a family. They had so much love for each other, always hugging and cheering each other on and dancing from the sidelines. They were the defintion of everything a perfect team should be. I don't care what anyone says about them, how they "weren't anything special" or how they were "losers" because they "never got their rings". They may have not won a championship but they were the best damn team in the NBA and everyone knew that. After Doug being traded and this Webber trade tonight, I'm just sitting here thinking..wow, where did my team go? Only 3 original Kings left..Mike Bibby, Peja Stojakovic, and Bobby Jackson. I don't know what I'd do if someone else went. It sometimes feels like I'm loving a group of strangers b/c they keep breaking down the old players and building up new again. Everyone's gone and it's sad when I think about it. But nothing against everyone we have on the team now. I love every single Kings player we have on this team..being a true Kings fan is not just about the players you used to love and who has left, but its's continuing on your Kings pride no matter what. Through ups, downs, trades, wins or losses. When I became a Kings fan, that's what I became. No matter if I live in Philly or not, the Kings will always be my #1 team. I for life, bleed purple and black and will always have a big place in my heart for the Kings, new and old. I still live, breathe, eat and sleep Kings. I love those guys and will never forget all the memories they left us with. And I didn't meant to get all "emotional" but I love the Kings so much! GO KINGS!! ALWAYS AND FOREVER!! :)

The J-will days for me. I didn't really have a favorite team then and I saw the Kings in the playoffs and really got into BBall.
