So why did I do this. Well I think you can see that there's a direct relationship between having an older experienced team and winning. There are a couple of exceptions of course, with the Thunder being the biggest one. But then again, we'll have to see if last year was an apparition, or the real thing.
Its easy to see that you just don't win a championship with a young and unexperienced team. You have to earn your spurs, no pun intended. When people on the fourm complain that Casspi didn't do a good job of defending Kobe, or that Cousins struggled against Gasol. My question to those people is, what did you expect? Please preytell, just who is it that defends Kobe?
What I'm trying to say is that you have to have reasonable expectations. Its no accident that most of the youngest teams are at the bottom looking up. So the question is, does your young team have the talent to be a top team when it matures? In the case of the Thunder, and perhaps the Grizzleys, it appears so. I believe thats true of the Kings and the Clippers as well. Right now, I'm not sure about the Timberwolves and they're the youngest team in the NBA.
The Knicks and the Kings are the same age. You tell me which team you'd rather have? Anyway, when the Kings play the Lakers, or the Heat, or any of the top teams, its fine
to hope for a win, and perhaps we'll actually catch one of them by surprise, or tired and pull off a couple of upsets. But don't get down on your team because you just got beat by a better one. Don't criticize Cousins just because he got outplayed by an all star with years of experience. Remember, there's a distinct difference between CAN'T, and HAVEN'T LEARNED YET. Thats where we are as a team and also as individual players.
