Napear uses his pathetic existence to spread negativity and annoy everyone around him. During a game this is what you can automatically expect from Napear. He will call a game over even if its a 5 point game with a minute and a half left. He will talk about one turnover for 5 minutes. He will not listen to the person being interviewed, instead he will consistenly nodd his head in anticipation of hearing his own voice again. He will not give credit to the other team but never misses any mistake by the kings (this whole season has been a mistake; Napear is thinking a job well done).

Gary Gearld stays somewhat neutral when commentating...He gives the other team credit while showing his support for the kings...he is a legend and should take Napears spot.

Please let this be the beginning to the NoMoreNapearbecauseheisatalentlesshack-HelloGaryGerald ERA.

Agree!

Totally agree! Grant Napear adds nothing to the broadcast of the game. He does no basketball analysis and doesn't hold a candle to Gary G as a play by play broadcaster. I would listen to all games on the radio if they were in sync with the TV. I would prefer an announcer who could provide more insight of the game than "so and so is on fire". The announcer for the Warriors, Barnett, does a great job.

I closed this thread but reopened it with a lot of misgiving. I'm almost positive it's going to end up being closed because of name calling and bashing. And BTW? It's Gary Gerould.

Grant makes the gamer exciting and Gerould is always a step slow it seems on radio calling a play like 10 seconds after it happens. Oh and a play by play man on tv is not supposed to give analysis that is what the color commentator it for.

A play-by-play announcer on TV is certainly going to give analysis. You can see the game so they're not going to be as detailed as a radio broadcaster.

If you think Gerould is slow on the radio, it's because the radio broadcast is off synch from the TV.

Gotta agree with Obadicus here. We're not being the negative ones...Napear is as pessimistic as they come. Oh yah, and don't forget about how one-sided he is...not really what you wanna be listening to when watching an nba game.
