congratulations to the suns

G-League
amidst all the complaining about the refereeing, and subsequent display of poor class by our players following the game last night, i want to just say congratulations to the phoenix suns for a terrific win.

they went into our crib, on a night when our players had a little extra incentive, and got away with a victory. no easy task. it was a great game, and the result did not go our way. kudos to them. any frustrations our team has over what happened last night should be left in the past, or at least until the next time we play these guys.

whew! I'm glad I'm not the only one who is bitter. especially the postgame quotes, when what's his face (can't spell his name, won't even try) talked about "winning the game with a defensive play." Yeah right. Winning the game by paying off the refs maybe! J/K.... yep, I'm definitely still bitter.

Now now. Not the spirit of the thread.

Actually I'll pass too -- but for a different reason. ;) Congrats on winning a regular season game are as out of place as excessive complaining about the refs screwing up in such a game. Hardly the playoffs. And regardless of whether the Suns actually DID beat us last night or not, it was basically too close to establish anything other than that both teams can score, and neither can defend. Normally you congrats the other team when they prove something or some such. None of that happened last night. Just a good tight game. So on to the next game, and other than hoping the Suns stumble here somewhere so that we can make up ground, I'm not going to particularly worry about them any more or any less than when they arrived in town.

All I can say is, I hope that the Suns do their taxes on time. They have until Apr. 15th because on the 16th we are going to Phoenix to audit them. :)

Sorry. If I want to give props to the Suns, I'll find a Phoenix board.

I can't believe I'm saying this. I agree with you! JK. The Suns don't deserve props just because they played good basketball. If their post game qoutes had been to the effect that they understood our frustration, but it was a good game, yadda yadda yadda, that's one thing. But there talking about their organization being well behaved, PLEASE.

The good thing, I really liked seeing the fire the Kings had about losing and hope they use this to motivate them. Some may think it is whining, but I think its different than complaining on the court. I hope that by putting their anger out there they can focus and catch the Suns.

i'd like to congratulate that outstanding phoenix defense.

man i was scared coming into the game, wondering how the kings were going to score points.

eff the suns!

yeah, f the suns. i will not congratulate them. if they beat us in a 7 game series (which won't happen)... then i will.

as far as motivation goes... i don't think anything will motivate these guys. on a night after our guys get snubbed and they get 3 guys in on reserve you'd think the kings' would have something to prove and be very motivated to kick some butt. instead they lost at home.

BOOOOOOOOOO

BOOOOOOOOOO

BOOOOOOOOO

and i agree with VF, the day ill give them props for a win like that against us is the day after the world ends

Suns will get kicked out of the first round by the Grizzlies lmfao

it was the grizzlies that handed them their butts on a silver platter last week when they loss too

i will say though that i take solace in the fact that out of all of the Suns measley 11 losses they owe a "thanks" to the kings for one of them

Well it is nice to know that they are reading or board as well and even quote some of our posts. They don't think very kindly of us :)

I just can't see how any honest, biased fan (which we all are) can not whine about what happened last night. It is not something that only Kings fans do. Any loyal fan would do it to.

Go Kings.

well i know personally i will be rooting for the kings to beat the crap out the Sonics tomorrow but then on Friday i will be rooting for the Sonics to beat the crap out of the Suns...we have to make up some ground some way...i know we are fighting for that third WC standing spot with the Sonics...but before the season is over we'll have it...ill be content on them winning this game in the mean time

No "congrats" from me. Not to sound bitter or anything (well i am
rolleyes.gif
) but Suns are nothing....nothing without steve nash. Watch him go down with an injury (i hope not) and the Suns will be out in 1st round, i can bet on it. I just can't stand this team, just like last year's Dallas Mavs....uh so annoying. Particularly because of guys like "Q", he just always has that cocky-a** look on his face, kinda like Kobe.

It's pretty sad how little respect the Kings get from the refs this year (even in Arco) and the league in general (no all star spots)

Wow they have tons of posts from this forum on their web site. Suns fans I know some of you might be reading this, look you guys have a great team. They are exciting to watch and they have a lot of heart which they showed last night(and with a 21-7 road record). Bad call or no bad call they played a great game last night. I can only speak for myself but if you guys want an enemy... I think you've got one. Maybe the Kings are soft and complainers and if so you have nothing to worry about. On the other hand maybe you guys are a little overconfident, we've seen a lot of Nash around here the past few years. We know he wears down, we also aren't afraid of any team lead by him come playoff time. Amare may be an monster offensive presence in the paint, but if we pass it in to C-Webb down low he has no chance, or anybody else on your team for that matter. I give you guys props, it's too late in the season to be calling you guys lucky, but it's 1-1 so far this year and you guys are still going to have something to prove come playoff time. See you at the end of the season...

^good post KP

not too mention that Nash could go down with another injury...one that will keep him out for more than 2 or 3 games...and they would just crumble like pie crust

ill be saying this for the rest of the season but...

The Phoenix Suns are a horrible team disguised as a good team.

you take Steve Nash out and you have the Phoenix Suns of the 2003-2004 season...and that team was horrible

well yes, but you take any team's key player out (except us of course -- we're like the Black Knight in MPs Holy Grail) and that team falls on hard times. The Spurs are pretty much an average team disguised as a great one by Duncan too.

Bigger issue with the Suns isn't that Nash absolutely makes them go, but that they just aren't built for the long haul. Nobody's runned and gunned their way to a title since...well, maybe ever. Even the great Showtime Laker teams were also able to work brilliantly in the post with a bevy of elite post players in Kareem, Magic, Worthy. Things slow down in the playoffs. When they do, that's not going to be good for the Suns at all. Throw in Nash's tendency to tire out as the season wears on and its just a team built to score big now rather than hoist a trophy come June.

^mmm i agree

plus that team doesn't have a bunch of playoff experience so it will be interesting to see...if they end up playing a team like the Grizz in the first round...that should be a pretty good series...the Grizz have proven they can beat them...and beat them with Nash and without their "star" Pau Gasol...woohoo!

Well said^ I like the MP reference. Being a kings fan is a lot like being the Black night at times.
