Key matchup
• Pacers forward James Jones against Kings forward Peja Stojakovic:
If not for the suspensions resulting from the brawl in Detroit, this would have been a classic confrontation between Ron Artest and Stojakovic. Now it falls to James Jones, along with Fred Jones, to contain the Kings' leading scorer. Stojakovic, who was mentioned in trade rumors for Artest over the summer, averages 20.7 points. He's not shooting as well as last season, but he remains one of the NBA's deadliest perimeter threats. The 6-10 Stojakovic will force whichever Jones that guards him to work hard on defense, which could detract from their offense. James Jones has become one of the primary weapons in the Pacers' depleted lineup, but his style of play won't make Stojakovic work as hard as he would if he were guarding a power player such as Artest.

About the Kings
Power forward Chris Webber, the Kings' oft-criticized locker room leader, is playing like he did before knee injuries sidelined him in each of the past two seasons. He's averaging 19.3 points, 10.5 rebounds and a career-high tying 5.4 assists per game. . . . Sacramento is 6-1 at home and averaging 104.2 points per game at Arco Arena. . . . The Kings are 3-0 against Eastern Conference foes this season.
