Antoine Wright Arrested

Just stumbles onto the Kings organization stupid DUI list... Musselman, Nocioni, George Maloof - who am I forgeting?
 
These things are just amplified in the current setting. The team is in a desperate PR war to try to get an arena built and save itself here, its a young team begging to get national attention, and your 12th man -- oh sorry, forgot that Donte was the 12 man despite having 5x the talent -- runs out and gets a DUI to give the organization an extra blackeye for no reaso and wiht no producivity on the court to make him a net positive.

Kings President of Basketball Operations Geoff Petrie - “We are extremely disappointed in the situation Antoine has created for himself and the organization. There certainly has been no shortage of education and/or resources made available to our players in regard to these types of dangerous behaviors. We will, however, respect his right of due process at this time.”

Bill Portanova (Wright's Attorney) - “We are working closely with the Rocklin Police and cooperating fully in their investigation.”

Antoine Wright - “I’m sorry for having gotten myself into this situation. I sincerely apologize to my teammates and coaches, the Sacramento Kings Organization, the Sacramento community and fans and my family.”

With the little that he was contributing to the team, I wouldn't be surprised to see him waived, just so the Kings can save some PR face.
 
What the heck is wrong with young athletes? They are so stupid about things like this. Its not like they could be thinking it can't happen to them.
 
Hey kings players... buy me an Aston Martin DBS or Audi R8, and I will gladly shuttle you guys around as DD on party nights in the car of your choice. We can take your ride or mine. Manual is OK. PM does the trick. Thanks.
 
Might as well drink and drive if you can't get playing time. This is good news, I don't want to see Wright play what so ever.

DUMB with a Capitol "D"!

Money enough to hire a personal driver, a cab, even a Limo if he so chose. But instead he drags his drunkazz behind the wheel in ROCKLIN! The Cops pull you over for DWB in ROCKLIN! You can NOT slip up in that little hick town! They are more than happy to oblige you and put you in jail. Gotta know what is what and where you are. He should have had someone driving him. This is just DUMB.

I hope you ar not implying that it would have been a smarter move to drive while drunk in a different city.

Not trying to treat this lightly, but the Rocklin Police are notorious for trying to pull over everyone they possibly can. My Dad used to live in Rocklin, and I often found myself watching the speedometer whenever I drove through town.
