A lot of the Kings media have been saying we will be playing a 5 win team tonight but this is a totally different team. Murphy, CJ, Herb and Murray have all missed most of the season and they are all back.

CJ shoots in the high 30s from three against the rest of the league but shoots 120 percent against the kings. He makes all he takes and then they just tack on a few more because we didn’t draft him.

I didn't think it possible to harbor so much fear in my heart for a five win team, but here we are.

Expecting a turrible blow out. Hoping we actually win against the Pels for what would feel like the first time in a decade.

I’m trying to adjust my fan mentality from living and dying with every game to looking at the team through Brown’s five games at a time lense. It’s a more accurate assessment and it takes some pressure and stress off of a single game.

There are a bit over eleven 5 game stretches left. If we go 3-2 in 6 of them, 1-4 in one, 2-3 in two and 4-1 in two we would have a floor of 44 wins. The last two games would decide if we finish with 44-46 wins. Given how we started that would probably be a good outcome.

Normally this is how I roll too, but I don't think I have enough emotional resiliency to not get annoyed if we let a 5 win team inch one game closer to a double digit win streak over us (I believe they're sitting at 8 straight)!

Not to pile on, but the Pelicans aren't 8-5 at home considering they only have five wins so far. I believe they are 4-8 at home so far this season.

Which means they are *checks notes* 1-12 on the road this season? Yeesh.

Yep - just checked. They beat the Blazers in their 2nd game and were 2-0 at that point. They haven't won on the road since.

Didn't you realize that when you call strike three that -- tag! -- you're it?
