    [Game] 53/82: Kings @ Mavericks 10 FEB 2025, 5:30pm PT/8:30pm ET

The main adjustment was limiting DeRozan playing with the bench . You add him to any lineup with a non spacing center & it’s a mess. After 50 games they finally realized that.

    [Game] 52/82: Pelicans @ Kings 08 FEB 2025, 7pm PT/10pm ET

Wait Trey Murphy has scored 40 points in 2 of last 3 games?! Didn't know he made "the leap" scoring wise but wow. This is the 1st game since Ingram being traded, so I expect him & Zion to have a jolt of confidence

    Kings Acquire Jake LaRavia

1 move I can definitely get behind ... My question is why didn't they go after Laravia or a guy like him at his size in the offseason? Did they really think Jalen McDaniels coming over a terrible year was going to be the answer at the backup 3/4 spot? Just seems Monte McNair is always a step...

Balancing the First and Second Units

Not sure if it was mentioned but I'm pretty sure this was the 1st time all season where DeRozan was not primarily in with the bench unit ... Meaning w/ Fox here, they would go out w/ 6 min left and then reenter with 2 min left in 1st Q give or take to play majority of time with bench unit. But...

Balancing the First and Second Units

It's hard to balance the roster now since it's so offense-heavy ... Defense basically all falls on Keon Ellis & Murray's shoulders. At very least you have to stagger their minutes. Besides that, there will be some overlap in styles. Valincunis and DeRozan both like going 1 on 1, so they're an...

    Thank you Alex Len

Writing was on the wall w/ the Jonas trade. LaVaria fills a much bigger need than 3rd string center (3/4 wing that can shoot and play passable defense)

    Jonas Valanciunas - KING

Call me a hater but if you thought Len looked slow and immobile on defense, just watch Valanciunus ... As I've said I don't think a post up big guy is what the Kings need off the bench, considering their offense runs through DeRozan when bench is in. Pretty much the whole team thrives in a...

De'Aaron Fox Traded to Spurs for Zach Lavine, three first round picks

As said I already Lavine seems underrated & will prob provide similar production to Fox ... What I don't understand though is if he is so good, why in the world would Chicago trade him and essentially get nothing? They got Huerter & Collins who both objectively have negative value and just got a...

De'Aaron Fox Traded to Spurs for Zach Lavine, three first round picks

Of course he's a solid dude and solid teammate ... I and others are talking about basketball fit. Personally, his game is not conducive to winning in 2025. Said this from Day 1. The ideal offensive for Kings will be Monk/Lavine pick and rolls w/ Sabonis or Sabonis dribble hand offs to shooters...

De'Aaron Fox Traded to Spurs for Zach Lavine, three first round picks

I will add Lavine is clearly an underrated player. I mean even me from word of mouth / public perception you initially think he's some low% chucker sort of player (like a Kuzma) ... But his CAREER %'s are pretty great. 46.8/38.7/83.1 ... For reference here are other star guard's career...

De'Aaron Fox Traded to Spurs for Zach Lavine, three first round picks

Collins fits practically everywhere right now ... Lakers ... Spurs are a perfect fit too, a rebounder/spacer next to Wemby. I have a feeling Utah is gonna surprise people with what they get for Collins, I'm guessing 2 1sts or a lottery pick.

De'Aaron Fox Traded to Spurs for Zach Lavine, three first round picks

Spurs won this deal though. Crazy they kept their young guys and still lots of picks … Spurs should make another move now, can easily get John Collins for Barnes or Johnson for a pick or 2. Fox-Castle-Vassell-Collins-Wemby starting 5 pretty legit & can grow together.

De'Aaron Fox Traded to Spurs for Zach Lavine, three first round picks

DeRozan def gone too, no way they’re rolling the LaVine-DeRozan combo again

    Amick: De’Aaron Fox requests trade

Idea I thought of trade combining some rumors: Kings out: Fox, Huerter, Lyles, DeRozan In: Vassell, Sochan, Chamagnie, John Collins, Bassey, Trey Jones 2 Picks from Spurs Spurs out: Vassell, Sochan, Champagnie, Bassey, 4 Picks Get: Fox, Huerter, Lyles Jazz out: Collins Get: DeRozan, 2 1st...

    Amick: De’Aaron Fox requests trade

No way they are trading Fox for Bradley Beal and picks ... Has to be fake report/rumor. Even if it's the 4 best possibly Spurs picks that's terrible value considering at least 2 of them are for taking Beal & Keldon Johnson's contract

    Potential Free agent/trade/sign tracker

^^^ Good idea above. Partly why I like the idea of John Collins too. I think Utah just really wants to keep Markanan at this point or at minimum they’d want 2 pieces for their future and picks (So like Murray, Carter, + picks). Sabonis’ ability to open up paint with his 3-point shooting is...

    Potential Free agent/trade/sign tracker

What's the word from? Could be true but I'm familiar with Collins a bit cause I followed the Hawks a decent amount couple years ago. He doesn't strike me at all as a low IQ guy; in fact quite the opposite. I think he makes the right play a lot, especially offensively, that's why he's so...

    Potential Free agent/trade/sign tracker

For the life of me I cannot understand why Cam Johnson “seems” to have higher trade value than John Collins. They’re paid around the same and are comparable; Collins archetype though (shooter, roll man, strong rebounder, passable rim protection) is much harder to acquire though. Kings should be...

    Potential Free agent/trade/sign tracker

I’ve said it before on here but Alex Len is a better fit for this team than Valanciunas. Jonas cannot move defensively at all, at all. I don’t understand the fascination with him on this team. Kings have enough scorers, they need that backup 5 to be a defensive big or at least a spacers to open...

    Potential Free agent/trade/sign tracker

Kyle Kuzma would be a terrible fit on this Kings team and any winning basketball team. “Scores points” in an inefficient manner yes, precisely what this team doesn’t need. Broken record but Valincunis is in a similar mold - even though he scores points in efficient manner. They don’t need a...
