Why wouldn't those teams be better than Sacramento this year? The Rockets took the Lakers to the wire in round 1, the T-Wolves have a great big man, the Bucks may suck as well but they have more proven pieces than Sacramento, and you can't ever discount the Pistons. It's a safe bet to say that...

I would more say that they've been downplayed, more than lauded. I've never been under any impressions that MJ was "nice" or "chummy"; it's perfectly clear that he's none of those things. He is what he is, and he was an awesome enough basketball player that it was overlooked.
