California Classic Game 3 Kings vs Lakers 7/3/19

Did he have trouble finishing last night? Keep in mind he is on less than a 15 hour turnaround and third game in less than three days (although his playing time in the first game was minimal).

California Classic Game 3 Kings vs Lakers 7/3/19

Is it odd that Bagley and Mason were on the team but didn't play? I expected since they were on the roster they would play part of at least one of the games.

Is Willie Cauley-Stein still an option at center for Sacramento Kings?

I'm trying to find articles or quotes from others not on this forum that suggest Willie is not a hard worker. Didn't find any. Also, do not see any articles that suggest that he is a selfish player. I did find a couple that suggest that he works hard (below, although I acknowledge these are...

    Kings hire Luke Walton

Plus, they were destroying teams, especially early in the year. This doesn't make Walton a great coach, but what he did at Golden State shouldn't be completely disregarded. I'm pretty sure neither a rock nor a member of this forum would have had similar success (both insightful examples of...

Walton fired by Lakers; Kings make offer (merged)

It is the same way Joerger was hired. Once he was available, he was hired within a couple of days.

    Next head coach candidates

Agree, the next level rationale doesn't hold water since none of the coaches available (at least those being talked about) have taken a team in the nba as far as Joerger. Can one of these coaches take the Kings to the next level? My magic 8 ball says "reply hazy. Ask again later"

Walton fired by Lakers; Kings make offer (merged)

I also don't know what to think about Walton and his coaching ability, but I think people are discounting what he did with the Warriors. They were absolutely dominating teams, setting a record for best start to a season. Sure, the Warriors were great, but the idea that a rock could have coached...

    Joerger Status. (He’s Fired)

Also, the few times I have heard Grant and Doug's show over the last month, he has gone out of way to talk about how if the Lakers let Walton go, he would have a job next year.

    Maybe start a poll?

    Joerger Status. (He’s Fired)

He was mentioned in a Sac Bee article that included 5 possible replacements. Tyronn Lue was also mentioned. Anyone interested in either of those two? Yeah, I didn't think so.

    Joerger Status. (He’s Fired)

Playoffs. You don't make this move if you don't imagine that it will take the team to the "next level" as Vlade said. Anything short of playoffs, I think this is a move that sets the franchise back another couple of years.

    [Game] Kings @ Jazz - Friday, April 5th - 6PT/9ET

Well, things are looking up. For awhile there, I thought it was going to be a 2 point quarter.

    [Game] Kings v. Cavaliers - Thursday, April 4 - 7PT/10ET

I see this sentiment here a lot. The Kings have played solid against teams under .500 (26-13). They are 13th in the NBA against teams under .500. Considering they are a team under .500, that is solid. So although, we may remember a stinker against the Suns or New Orleans, it is not the norm...

    Reviewing Bagley v Luka

It's not a Kings fan thing, it's human nature. We want to protect those in our tribe/group/family. You also see the opposite of what you are saying. Posters are elevating others, which intentionally or not, feels like it is minimizing what the Kings or their players are doing.

    Reviewing Bagley v Luka

I think the disagreement/discussion is not whether he is somewhat good, but rather if he is having a historical season. Sidenote: There are more straw men in this thread than in a Wizard of Oz audition line.

    [Game] Kings @ Mavericks - Tuesday, March 26 - 5:30PT/8:30ET

This isn't a video game. You need to consider the context, which Tetsujin provided. Third game in four nights, on the road, in a place that is difficult for the visiting team, missing a rotational player, at the end of a long season, disappointingly out of the playoff chase, against an NBA team...

    [Game] Kings @ Celtics - Thursday, March 14 - 4:30PT/7:30ET

It would be nice if the Kings can get some production out of Burks this game.

The Road to catching the Spurs

San Antonio is a different team at home. Away record is 12-22.

    [Game] Kings v. Celtics - Wednesday, March 6 - 7PT/10ET

Actually, I don't think it is lack of intensity. it is likely they are playing tighter in close games than they were earlier in the year now that more is at stake. True, they are not a playoff team this year, but they are playing like one even in this rough stretch. 2 point losses to Nuggets...

The Road to catching the Spurs

Hate to admit it but my new hope after this loss is for them to finish over 500. I don't see the playoffs happening now. Things would be different if they could have gotten at least a couple of these 2 point losses.
