    [Game] Kings @ Nuggets - Wednesday, Feb. 13 - 6PT/9ET

I know basketball and refereeing too. And I disagree completely. I could explain why it was most definitely a travel but you wouldn’t agree so we’ll just have to go on living with our own opinions. And over 4 seconds isn’t ‘barely’ 3 seconds in any universe, but nice try.

    [Game] Kings @ Nuggets - Wednesday, Feb. 13 - 6PT/9ET

The penalty situation in the 4th was one of things I neglected to mention, but you’re spot on. Staggers the imagination, doesn’t it? And Denver walked more than twice, believe me, but some were more obvious than others. Milsaps was ridiculous. It was as easy to see as the carry called on Burks.

With respect, I also reviewed the plays multiple times to ensure what I saw was correct. So I don’t understand how you can even argue with me on it. The Milsap play most certainly was a travel. Even DC says something during the play. And go back and count when Jokic sets foot in the paint. It is...

Agreed. I know HB hasn't shot it well yet, but assume he will. I also like his ability to create plays for others. Right now, Willie is the only bulk minute guy that teams can sag off of and he can still make teams pay by cutting to the basket for lobs/dunks.

    [Game] Kings @ Nuggets - Wednesday, Feb. 13 - 6PT/9ET

I also add that tonight's performance strengthened my belief that not only is Denver not as good as some build them up to be, but that the KINGS are near their level and can beat them. While they are 0-3 now, the past 2 games could have gone either way. Denver is surely a more experienced and...

    [Game] Kings @ Nuggets - Wednesday, Feb. 13 - 6PT/9ET

I don't think I watched the same game as many others. The officiating was dreadful. One of the worst I've seen all season. How can the officials miss so many blatant travels and push offs right in front of them? I mean, Alec Burks gets called for a carry -- and it certainly was, but still...

    [Game] Kings @ Nuggets - Wednesday, Feb. 13 - 6PT/9ET

Attack Jokić in the paint with quickness and speed. WCS, Bagley and H20 are all capable doing that. So are the KINGS guards. Double-down with the bigs sprinting down the floor on as many change of possessions as possible -- which is supposed to be the M.O. anyway. In other words, take advantage...

The Road to catching the Spurs

AND Jamal Murray caught fire. That type of thing happens from time to time, but can't be counted on each and every game. Assuming it doesn't happen again, the KINGS should have a good chance as long as they play hard and smart. The one thing I worry about most is defense. The KINGS were already...

The Road to catching the Spurs

No excuses as in we should expect a competitive game with the chance to win. Didn't I say that already? The game isn't on a back-to-back and they've had several days rest. No they aren't. Denver isn't back-to-back champs with 5 all-stars in their lineup. Denver is merely a good team that any...

I wouldn't expect much from WCS. He doesn't usually fare well at high altitude. IIRC, he even was excused from the trip to Denver once or twice during his career.

I was thinking it would be fitting if the KINGS beat their former coach and player. Also, I don't believe there's anybody left over from the Michael Malone days other than ownership and admin. No players for sure, and a new GM/front office.

Nor should you. Except maybe back-to-backs on the road or games played at Noon. ;) lol j/k

The Road to catching the Spurs

When the KINGS were rudderless and talentless and weren't vying for a playoff spot, perhaps losses should be expected. But c'mon now, this team has talent, is 4 games over .500 and in the thick of a playoff race. They've been off since Sunday evening. No excuses. This is a game they need to...

And the KINGS were oh so close to a title too. If Michael Jordan hadn't retired to play baseball, perhaps he and the Bulls win 8 consecutive titles. If Kobe and Shaq could have got along, they likely win at least 1 more title and possibly more. But the facts are that things played out as they...

IMO not if he doesn’t help lead a team to a title, he won’t. He’ll just be another elite scorer like Alex English, Carmelo Anthony, Tracy McGrady or Vince Carter among many, many others. HOF worthy but not a ‘generational’ player. Over 40 years I can name lots of players that were as good or...

Man, if that fluky play against the Celtics hadn’t happened. SMH.

Exactly. Although I’d add that Curry is the true best player from that draft and the only generational talent. He’s changed the way the game is played and has spearheaded 3 championships and counting. Harden is the biggest traveling chucker of his generation that hasn’t and likely won’t ever...

The Road to catching the Spurs

IDC what records say, I just don’t believe Denver is an elite team nor do they belong in the same sentence with GSW. Honestly, once things play out, I think we’ll see that Houston is also better in the West — even though I hate that team and the way they play. I believe GSW, Milwaukee, Toronto...

I don't think it's that simple. I've been watching basketball (and other sports) as much and as long as Simmons. I often think I know, and sometimes I do, but I often don't really know. Difference is, I can admit that. Furthermore, while we can see something in a player, you can't know for sure...
