I have no clue why we have a coach that can put such an impressive playbook together and then has a hard time with playcalling that actually uses such plays/players effectively. It seems like we have such untapped potential, and even with Jimmy G hamstringing us a bit, you've got to get more of the quick hit passes he can actually be not too bad at most of the time. Our O line didn't seem to be that good today, though.

Oh, and injuries suck. Argh.

Kyle lives in his own head, is stubborn as hell, thinks he’s the smartest man in the building and trips over his own feet because of it so often. There’s a great coach in there somewhere but he gets in his own way too often.

Jimmy looked every part of a bottom-tier QB that spent 0% of the off-season with his team. To give him some relief, I don't think prime Tom Brady would have been able to do much when Trent Williams went down with the free rush after free rush against whoever was at LT. Jaylon Moore might just straight up get cut after that "performance" holy crap.

But yeah, this is why you sell the farm to go get a Trey Lance talent. You can't win with the 25th best QB in football, no matter how good the rest of your team is. So beyond frustrating, the defense is performing at all-world levels and we should have cake-walked into being 3-0.

It's wiring. Whether Jimmy has protection or not, whether Deebo is running free on the perimeter or not, Jimmy is going to throw the ball between the hashes, within 15 yards, and into triple coverage. It's just how he's wired. Should've had two picks in the middle last night instead just that one where he threw to Deebo, who was triple covered. The season is over.

That game last night was UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGLY.

Sincerest apologies to all of the Niner fans on this board who sat through that debacle. Your commitment is applauded.

PS: It wasn't just the Niners, though...That Broncos offense also left A LOT to desire. Brutal game all around.

Still think the Niners are a playoff team. The defense is elite. Jim is bad, but he isn’t THAT bad.

Yea, I should qualify it. Season over = the Niners barely making the playoffs, again, and Jim throwing three interceptions in the middle of the field to seal the Niners fate. Not season over in relation to the Kings, where they miss the play in--again. Can you imagine how Vivek would react if the Kings made the play in? He'd be doing a Gavin dance and throwing the shaka while mugging for the cameras. Hell, Fox would be airdropping we made the playoffs! NFTs to the people, who bought into his crypto last year.

As expected, high ankle for Trent. 4-6 weeks (usually), no surgery needed.

Al-Shair has the same injury as Eli Mitchell… 8 weeks.

On Sunday you witnessed how important strong pass protection is for Garrapolo - he can't function under duress....his scrambling ability is likely worst in the league In fact, how about Daniel Jones straight up for JimmyG - at least you get some scrambling and running speed with an equally bad Passer.

You're gonna have to give the Giants a lot more if you want Jones.

I’ve been laughed at hard for like Daniel Jones in the past. Dude makes so many boneheaded mistakes but his flashes are NICE.
Exactly - more ceiling than Garrapolo....who is merely average when his line is playing well - such as the Superbowl year. Actually, Brock Purdy might be in the cards (for experimental only).....if the O-line is gonna suck, you might as well try out Purdy who also scrambles better. 49ers offense is loserville - you get a good defense like Denver or Chicago, or LA and offense stymied....then you have the reverse problem against a good offense - the 49ers defense will not hold well enough (leaky) and the offense cannot generate the needed points to match. Teams are figuring out, you just crowd the line/stack the box and good things happen. Garrapolo is not good enough to make the opposing team pay, and the line without Williams is not up to it.

I like Brent Jones on Garrapolo: "https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/4...ed-brent-jones-play-disposition-49ers-broncos"
The safety was just horrendous, and Shanahan deserves blame too - he of all people should understand Garrapolo in the endzone is recipe for disaster.

Where is Danny Gray? Get some f$%#kin speed on the field pronto on offense. Where is their equivalent Hufanga impact player on offense? Nowhere to be found. Anemic.

Mike McDaniel just got Tua killed so I guess he really is a Kyle disciple.

hope the guy’s alright but there is absolutely no reason he should have been playing considering the head injury he suffered four days ago.
