Kings trading pick!

Got a feeling we are going to trade with Utah...

Salmons and the #10 (Jimmer) to Utah for Milsap, and the #12 (Kemba Walker). We aren't resigning Dalembert, and Cousins moves to C with Milsap at PF. Maybe we toss in another player or two to sweeten the deal.. Who knows. Maybe Utah wants to toss in Devin Harris, or a 3 team deal moves Harris somewhere else.

We don't know that Jimmer is Petrie's target. We're just assuming it is. Maybe he wanted Walker or Burks. Or maybe he likes them all and will just take whatever one is available.
Can we make the assumption that we are getting back a ball handler (like Beno)? Or are we to believe that Salmons, Tyreke and Thornton are going to dribble us all to death?

I got an uneasy feeling that Salmons is staying. Salmons on defense is fine as an upgrade. But that really isn't saying much. But Salmons on offense is a disaster. He calls his own number and PW is too much of a wimp coach to stop him.

On the bright side, we got older, worse, less valuable draft pick, less space, and lost our most consistent player, BUT at least Salmons probably won't have sex with any of the players' moms or girlfriends.

What worries me is that this deal might fit into "Petrie-think", and therefore might be "what you see is what you get." He like to acquire "valuable pieces" at lower prices, regardless of what it does to the chemistry or overall performance of the team. He can always trade them later, right? I hope I'm wrong...

I hear Napier on the radio trying to sell this deal. What a losing proposition that is...

Now he's trying to say that Tyreke and Salmons will play good together. What is so bad about John Salmons? he says. Hilarious.

Toronto apparently likes Biyombo at 5, which means there's a good chance Knight slips to 7. Which makes this trade even worse. Awful.

Grant can do one. He's clueless. Really doesn't know what he's talking about.

I don't often agree with Grant but to say he doesn't know what he's talking about is just wrong. you don't spend 20 plus years around the game and around basketball minds like Jerry Reynolds and not pick a little something up.

Yep. Grant losing what little credibilty he had by saying this is a good trade. Not one analyst has said it was good for the Kings and in fact is the worst trade the past year.

Salmons owed 25m
Beno owed 14m
We took on 11M more in salary, and an extra year. Could have just taken jimmer at 7. Now Utah trying to get the 8th, and royaly f*** everything up.
It's not really an extra 11 million though because if not Salmons they'd have to pay someone else. And even if Jimmer is gone Burks or Walker will be there.

The way I see it, they draft a PG, fill the SF hole, and come out about the same cap wise as they were before. I'm just not seeing why this is as bad as people are acting like.

This is unreal. Salmons likely means no Price/Ak/Battier.

We could have have just drafted Leonard, kept Beno, and signed one of Prince/Battier/AK.

Now we moved Beno, picked up a way overpaid ball hog in John Salmons, JUST to open up a spot for Jimmer or Kemba?

We royally ****ed this whole situation up.

Hoe's that supposed to make people feel better. We lose Dalembert but get his polar opposite. Whoop.

That's like a surgeon saying "We cut off your arm but replaced it with another leg."

Nah, Grant talks a lot of rubbish and rarely offers anything insightful. He's nothing more than a mouth piece for the Maloofs.
