Donte Greene; 3:33

Would you feel the same way if he got 5 more DNP's in a row?
I just added new signature line which sums up my thoughts I guess.

Donte simply does not play as hard in general on both ends of the court as those ahead of him in rotation, IMO. Again, maybe due to apparently not being nor staying in top shape. Maybe his inconsistency is not horribly worse than some ahead of him, but enough of a slide to have his butt currently affixed to the pine - except when up doing his all-star Mateen routine.

If Westphal is this content on making sure that his players are in shape and working hard, why was Greene starting game one? Making effort could be an issue, but you don't get out of shape in 2 days.

I would be curious to hear the definition of "producing" as it applies to this mythical other guys we have.

I would also like to call B.S., because you don't start the opener (a game we won even), and then go straight to 12th man status for the rest of the season without a fairly drastic trigger.
Didn't Sean May and Desmond Mason start in the home opener last season?

Agreed. What made me mad was that he really could've helped us tonight. He was the only one on our team who could guard KObe last year. He turned him into a volume shooter and made him earn his points. Head guarding Kobe produced many double teams and open shots while Reke got ticky tack fouls from guard Kobe. We NEED Donte.

Donte Greene isn't a super bust that eats at buffets after every game, or a 35+ year old who was a role player at his peak.
Of course, I'm just saying that with PW it's certainly possible to start on the home opener and immediately become the 12th man. In fact, it might be a strategy to throw off the opposing teams - are they supposed to watch tapes of Donte or Luther Head?...

They don't need to watch tapes of Luther head, everyone knows he's a 3 point shooter and small defender.

We should start a poll around here and see who can guess the next time that DG sees the floor.

he looks so happy on the sidelines, it really makes me wonder what the heck in going on.

Do you think he's Kevin Martin happy, as in I know I'm outa-here kind of happy?

I'm sick of debating for Donte Greene as i have for 2 years.. last thing i'll say, not playing him will hurt us NOW and hurt us in the FUTURE, bottom line.
