4-6 at home

This thing is going south

Nearly 20 games in. This team can’t shoot the three ball. They can’t defend the theee ball. They have no bench and limited versatility

And they’re terrible at home

This team is just poorly constructed. Too small at too many spots, too many players that can’t shoot the 3. You can be smaller and a good 3 point shooting team like the Warriors. You can be a long defensive team like the Cavs. You can not be small and unable to shoot the 3.

this team is 110% on Monte.

This team is kind of in an odd spot. How the former core pieces of that more chaotic 1st/2nd year team fit in with the need pieces moving on is the thing to watch. So far this season Monk in these situations is moved back 1 option. How does Brown manage offense vs. defense at the end of games?

This team moved up to tops on defense last year playing who again? Fox, Davion, and Ellis. The issue is if you are going to play small, you can't play off like this. That's where getting back to shooters is going to hurt you.

Yes, except we were totally toe until the rest decided to intervene. By the time the rest stopped their crap. We were in a 12 point hole against a team you can’t give that kind of advantage to.
Refs for sure swung this game. And OKC is too good to let an advantage like that go to unused. They're hard enough to beat 5 on 5, impossible to beat 5 on 8

But again, the problem with this team is clear.

Keegan 2-8
Huerter: 0-2
Monk 2-7

4-17 for 23%. That trio needs to be 38%+ and they're just not delivering.

Not really sure how it's on Monte for historically great shooters to not deliver, but go off to that one guy. Also not sure how it's on Monte that our coaching staff scheme allows constant 50% 3pt shooting against us, but hey. Go off to that one guy.

I agree, and for the record I never blame Monte

This team is playing tight, tight, tight. You can feel it. They worked themselves up to playing almost an entire half loose, but then it snuck back up on them. With those players the question is whether or not they can get the same shots at the same frequency that they once did. Or the same role. So far this season Monk has been more of a spot guy. Adding another main option offensively like DDR has changed his role as much as anyone. Obviously they are much better shooters than this but hopefully this adjustment doesn't take much longer. That Huerter launch down 9 that just had the sense of a game killer was a staple of the Kings the last two seasons. This season it probably isn't what you want unless you want to go back to the ceiling of playing chaotic offense like the two seasons prior.

Honestly, everyone is hot as hell playing against us lately. Teams are getting no more open 3s than we are. We are just missing all of ours and they are litteraly making everything.

Teams have so much confidence playing against us. Add the refs and it's looking bad right now. Nothing I hoped for. I had such high expectations
