Fun fact the top 2 rookies in the rookie ladder are both born and raised in Sacramento and also both were selected after Devin Carter in the last draft. McCain and Wells that is.
Fun Fact #2
Harrison Barnes has 3 matches in a row scoring 20+, with 20,25,22 all wins for the Spurs, with 21/34 shots, 9/15 3 pointers and 26 rebounds!!!

I'm happy for them. It must be a lot of fun shooting all those threes when so many of them go in the basket. Seeing the Kings shoot 7 for 35 last Friday against that same Clippers squad was not fun.

The Clippers defense conceded a single digit 3 pointers in their last 3 matches before visiting Boston (vs Kings, vs Magic at 76ers) but they conceded 12 only in Q2 at Boston. I think I saw somewhere that those 51 points in the 2nd quarter are the most scored in any quarter this season.
Jordi 4 wins in 4 matches at the West this season (franchise record to begin the season like that), 5-1 vs Western Conference teams (lost against the Nuggets in OT early in the season with Jokic having 29-18-16, won the next 5).
Nets 4-0 when visiting the West, 0-7 away record in the East!!!
12/17 3s in Q2, to score 51 against the Clippers defense... I am afraid to look again the Kings 3pointers vs the Clippers in both our defeats earlier this season. Did we even score 12 against them in 8 quarters?

I think those two Clippers games were our worst three point shooting games of the season. We shot 20% in the Emirates Cup game and that was an improvement from the previous showing. Based on today's results, it would appear that our poor shooting had nothing to do with the Clippers defense.

Jordi's Western Conference pedigree is showing. Haha! He needs to get properly-tuned to the funky, underwhelming rhythms of Eastern Conference basketball.
That Nets squad looks hell of a lot like that team they had before they sold their soul for KD/Harden/Kyrie and kicked Kenny Atkinson to the curb. Just a bunch of dudes who play together and take pride in playing defense. Been a fun team to watch for sure.

I think it also helps that they have zero expectations. They were supposed to be the worst team in the league and half their roster is expecting to be traded at some point this season. The culture they have built is working great at least for now, it doesn’t matter who is playing they have someone going off for 30, the guy who did it last night had like 20 total points on the season
This story randomly came over my news feed. I did not know this happened and I probably should have given it happened in the town I was born. Nick Nurse was born in the same town so maybe it’s Iowa’s nba hot bed haha? The main person interviewed in this story was my 8th grade geography teacher. Small world
Neither. Granted I wasn’t born when it happened and I have not lived there for 20 years. Looks like they built the court in 2022 in a park that wasn’t there when I was growing up. Something for me to check out next time I go visit my parents.
I remember hearing about the landing in my twenties, when I was in my "absorbing random NBA trivia like a sponge" phase. Slightly surprised to learn that it wasn't a bigger deal locally.
