The Sweet Science

I feel like so many of the American and British fighters are complete hype jobs who get to pick opponents/weights/weight rehydration clauses (Mayweather/Canelo/Tank) and than on top of that get gift decisions (Haney vs Loma).

All these "undefeated" fighter from Haney (not anymore), Tank, Boots Ennis and even Crawford and the British guys are even worse/less talented, Look at the way they are hyping Joshua again cause he beat a MMA fighter and the corpse of that Finnish fighter that Wilder ended in like the first 2 rounds when he lost like 3 of his 4 prior fights to that.
which is why I can respect someone like Garcia who isn't afraid to go and take these big name fights, of course it works for him too because he gets a great pay day

It's on like Donkey Kong - 11 days and counting to the biggest Undisputed fight in 25 years - Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk. 8 titles will be on the line including Riydah seasons very own heavyweight title. Lots of nerves will be on show Saturday night (May 18th)

I had my fight party planned out 2 months ago. It's going to be strange for some people watching in the day time, or late morning depending which coast you're from. Little advice hide your best food until the main event.

Who you got winning and how? Will Tyson Fury pull this off or will Oleksandr Usyk win in style?

Another Saudi card this weekend (June 1st) - Check the time difference fight fans. Looks like it's only available on the dazn platform. I like the rivalry for this one - Matchroom vs Queensberry - Eddie Hearn vs Frank Warren - 5 vs 5 - USA vs China - USA vs UK fights. In the past Hearn and Warren had beef. Enjoy the fights.

Deontay Wilder vs Zhilei Zhang (Main Event)

Daniel Dubois vs Filip Hrgovic
Hamzah Sheeraz vs Austin Williams
Dmitrii Bivol vs Malik Zinad
Raymond Ford vs Nick Ball
Willy Hutchinson vs Craig Richards

Good to see Zhang win he got robbed in his fight vs Hrgovic cause of political crap (escalation between China/Taiwan at the time), for the first 6 rounds of any fight Zhang is probably the best dangerous guy in the world. Great to see the end of Wilder one of the least skilled fighters and master cherry picker not to mention blatant dives (Malik Scott who than went on to be his trainer). Dubius has made a nice turnaround in his career after losing to Joyce he did well vs Usyk before losing to the potential GOAT and smacked both Hrgovic/Anderson both good undefeated prospects.

Jousha vs Zhang vs Dubious works any one of the match ups is interesting, There is zero interest for me to watch Usyk vs Jousha III or Uysk vs Zhang (Usyk just way to fast and skilled).

one year off for Crawford is way too long for a title holder. Saudis trying to put boxing back on the right track though so I applaud them for that

found out today that Mayweather is back in the ring this Saturday vs Gotti at age 47 and so I ask myself, why? it can't be for the money so maybe he just misses boxing versus just sparring people

Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois is only $20 on pay per view - head over to dazn, espn plus or ppv dot com platforms and place your order. Wembley Stadium will be rocking with Liam Gallagher from Oasis singing and this main event could be fireworks (Enjoy) and Liam vs Kelly is off.

Who’s watching the Tyson / Paul trainwreck tonight!

I’m going to because it’s free.
it's really free? can I time shift it? does it interfere with the Kings game?

Hadn't visited this thread in a while, I got to London the day of the Joshua/Dubois fight and my mom asked if she should pick up tickets. Wound up crashing early that day (I sort of wanted to go to an EPL game but didn't do that either). If I had known Oasis bro was there I may have had to say yes. Not a fan but these days I am open to seeing anyone who made it big once.

As long as you have a Netflix subscription. So technically not free, but a helluva lot cheaper than your normal PPV.

Do you know if it will be available after the event? I know with concerts that have been shown on Hulu and Amazon they are watch live or they are gone.

I assume Paul wouldn't take the fight unless he had assurances that Tyson won't knock him out. But I hope he didn't get that assurance.
I don't know what to think. I want Paul to lose badly but I can't deny that he has some solid amateur boxing skills. Can a 31 year age difference and Tyson only having one exhibition boxing match in the last 20 years close the gap?

Thanks for the reminder. I'll definitely be watching. What's your prediction?
A boring sparring session because both guys care more about the bag than the sport.

I want Tyson to knock his head off, but don’t have any expectations.

That I don’t know. I have to imagine it will be on-demand after to bring in the views. Especially if it turns out to be a spectacle.

I believe Tyson probably is still capable of throwing a punch the likes that Paul has never seen. I truly hated Mike in his prime and thought King had him protected and refs stopped too early but in the 30+ years since then I've never seen anyone fight like Mike did. Obviously he tapered off and struggled against Holyfield and Lewis and then Williams and McBride are inexcusable but he basically quit in both those fights.

If he's just taking the pay day this will be a boring pillow fight where he won't have to quit on his stool. If Jake makes him mad though I think he could (and would) at a moment's notice clean his clock.

I’m reading you can watch the fight afterwards on Netflix. Tyson looks great in workouts but is, what, 58? But it’s Tyson. Hope he knocks this guy out.

all these comments about a Tyson Paul fight but not a word when a true boxing match occurred between Bivol vs Beterbiev, but then again that was PPV and this one is a subscription based fight.
