Fox need to stop settling for jump shots earlier in the game when the team struggling to make shots. He needs to attack and change momentum with his speed. The sign of a great team is not just based on talents but how smart you are as a team. If you sense your team isn't making shots, you shouldn't be taking more of it.

This game shouldn't even be close if the Kings play smart basketball. I blame on the coaches. If you sense your players are not making shots, you should tell them to attack the basketball and draw fouls...that's how you break momentum and change the flow of the game. The only player on the court that can shift momentum easily at any time in the game is Fox with his speed or DeRozen with his post up. But this is how you lose games and let it got out of hand if you don't play smart. Sure, we won the game because of clutch shots by DeRozen and Fox but we shouldn't be putting ourselves in that situation to begin with...and it doesn't help that refs almost screwed up this game.

I'll report back....I showed him I'm liquid for the $100k but now it's crickets on his end.
Hah he sent me a generic Fidelity screenshot that anyone can Google. I asked for specific info from him it so I don’t waste my time going down a rabbit hole. No response.

also, the play in question won’t even be reported in L2M report since it happened at 2:11 mark (I could be wrong if they go a bit deeper for OT). So I’m messaging the NBA office and will tweet their account as well. Will report back!

I think you're actually right (for once!) on the L2M being that play happened at 2:11. Send the link to your tweet. I think the NBA refs have a handle on X too that I'm sure we can ask.

Hall of Famer
the second game of the season I was able to watch thus far. unfortunately for Monk, he may be missing some time here with the way he was in agonizing pain. DeMar basically was preserving himself until the 4th quarter to start being aggressive offensively and then that opened up the Fox inside the arc specialty shots. The iso heavy game plan worked in this one, long term? meh I don't know. the Kings don't run much of an offense really and get very trigger happy from deep but that's something that will just have to be the calling as long as this team is constructed in this manner I suppose. Royce missed a whole lot of wide open three pointers he usually knocks down, overall, Suns missed a lot of makeable shots but it was another fun game to watch, Suns fans are getting their moneys worth every night with this years squad 10 games in

Out of 46 wins last year only 11 of them came in games where the opponent made more threes than us.

Out of 36 losses, only 12 of them came in games where we made more threes than the opponent.

This year we have 6 wins and 4 losses, 8 of those games the opponent made more three pointers. We already have 5 wins (out of 6) where the opponent made more threes than us. That is encouraging. By the way, last year even when a team had more threes than us it was typically by one or two, this year it’s often been by 5-8. That isn’t sustainable, if we can close the gap and get it back to a 2-3 deficit or better we will be in good shape.

Interesting side drama, I’ll say that!

But wrt the KINGS tonight — I know, I know …. I’m just a biased KINGS fans here — but the officials did nearly everything they could to keep PHX in the game.

Over the course of watching the past 40 years of SAC basketball, I can really only recall a small handful of games where a foul before the inbound was actually called on what should have been the final play of regulation.

I’m not saying it wasn’t a foul (technically) but they rarely ever call that $#/t late in games, especially on the final play. They’ve historically allowed a lot of contact to go uncalled.

Hell, of the top of my head, I recall Peja Stojakovic getting hammered by Trenton Hassell on a game-winning (or tying) 3-pt shot at the buzzer during a playoff game. The excuse then is what it should be now. They let them play and let the players decide it.

I’m so tired of the inconsistency and hypocrisy.

And how in world can they not stop the game and review the shot clock resets? That 4 point play could have cost the KINGS the game but the shot never got launched before the clock would have expired.

I’m very happy the KINGS were able to overcome the poor officiating, but there will obviously be times when that doesn’t happen. These guys need to be better than this.

Wasn't there a similar incident against Phoenix last season too? I think it was Booker again.

Watching the Suns broadcast of the game. Somehow forgot how awful Eddie Johnson is. Watching DeeboAaron dismantle the Suns and making him cry delicious tears is everything.
