You can call it a coincidence but in the final minute Keon came back in and Kings turned things around.
Keons pressure on that Domas steal forced the ball way out and allowed Domas to snag it. The Kings have been slightly below average for most of the season on defense, but the defense has COLLAPSED recently. Bottom 3 since the break. The Kings are now at 20th in defense for the year. Monte has work to do to find a balance with the roster on defense and offense but Keon has been a big boost for sure so far. The teams in the Kings area defensively this year range from mediocre to lottery bound for reference. On average the Kings net rating is only 0.4 this season but a lot of that is probably because the Kings have been trending as a .500 team in those 10 game looks for a bit now.

I mean what the hell haha. The win percentage before that Barnes shot was probably like 10 percent. I can’t believe it. This victory was good enough to bury one of those ugly losses and never speak on it again. Unbelievable
Close, but not quite. With 57 seconds remaining, after Branham hit the second free throw, the Spurs' win probability was 87.7 percent.

That feels like a damning indictment of the Spurs, now that I think about it.

I have been championing Keon Ellis and it's not surprising to me to see the Kings have success when he plays.

I dont understand how or why he fell out of the rotation, but he needs to get more minutes.

Keon impacts the game in so many ways, especially defensively with movement and deflections.

Domas is a damn stud. Trading Haliburton for Domas was absolutely the right move, as well as reupping him as soon as possible.

Keegan needs to be more aggressive. Somebody needs to show him video of Tim Duncan getting the ball on the wing and going in to a triple threat position, hitting the bank shot or making a pass, but being a threat. The one thing the offense is missing is Keegan being a triple threat on the wing.

Monk is running away with the 6th MOY award. Super happy for him. "Monk ain't no Punk". We need a shirt that says that, with artwork of him flexing after the dunk in Utah.

Fox was Fox. 17 in the 4th. He got some bad calls but the Kings got the dub so no harm, no foul. 32 shots is probably top much to score 33 but that's your superstar.

We need to stomp on the throat of crappy teams in the 3rd. That's our issue.

Helps that Branham also threw up a nerf ball of a pass that also looked like would have resulted in a half court violation if Collins had actually caught it
He did because of Keon's length. He shouldn't have thrown it in hindsight.

I have thrown that pass before. You let off the zip at the end because the person you are throwing that pass over contested it so well. Keon did that. He made that pass HELLA hard, the WINDOW to make the pass super small, mid throw. Branham had to lob it instead of snap it because of Keons contest in the window.

It's one of those things that you don't see unless you are in it. That's an easy pass most times, unless it is defended as perfectly as Ellis defended it.

The Warriors also blew a lead against the Bulls at home for a loss AND Steph rolled his ankle and is probably gonna miss some time.
I actually hate to hear the injury part but it’s good to know the other western conference teams ahead of us and below us, have had games similar to ours. It’s easy to let up this time of year with everyone being visibly hurt or exhausted.

The Kings have much to work on but this team can’t be questioned when it comes to guts and HEART. I’m happy the fans booed them early enough for the Kings to instantly make it up to them. Whew.

And has been from the start of the season. Nobody was biting this season though. Better hope teams start looking to make deals in the summer because Monte is starting to have limited options when it comes to improving his roster.
It's unfortunate because Keon is probably the ideal 2 guard for this team. And the real bad part is Davion plays a role better than Huerter would off the bench, so Davion has been getting those minutes because Davion can attack the basket better than Huerter and Keon.

Huerter should be gone, Keon should get those minutes. And Vezenkov should gobble up the remaining minutes filling in that void.

This team don't deserve to go to the Playoffs.
Well, First of All™, what's "deserve" got to do with it?

Second of all, let's accept the premise for the sake of discourse: the Kings would still have been 8 games over .500, if they had lost. I don't think that there's ever been a team in the history of the NBA that finished 8 games over .500 and didn't make the playoffs; I feel like, if a team 8 games over .500 doesn't "deserve" to make the playoffs, then nobody "deserves" to make the playoffs.

Third of all, eight teams get in the playoffs, whether they "deserve" it or not, so which two of the eight teams currently behind the Kings in the western conference standings do you think "deserves" to get in over them?
