I think its worth pointing out that is actually unfair to Queta to compare him to Hassan Whiteside.. Thats holding someone to unrealistic expectations.. I get that Whiteside was the 33rd pick and Queta was 38th or whatever, but really its very much apples and oranges.
I mean I'm pretty sure you guys know the sort of jekyl and hyde routine with Whiteside, when he was truly focused he was pretty much unstoppable.. Queta doesnt have it like that, he's a try-hard, max effort guy.
Whiteside wasnt like 'a star', but really he just had way more 'starpower' than a guy like Queta.. Like he had many of the rare tool necessary to be a star, y'kno?
Queta's ticket to being a rotation guy involves him making that 3pt shot at a higher clip I think, doesnt get mentioned enough round here with all the NQ comments..
IDK Whiteside is just not a very good player to use as a comparison point, cuz he actually possessed whats referred to as 'natural talent'. its almost like when you see modern day bigs (usually teenagers) getting compared to Kevin Garnett, its like i think you mean Kevin Garnett-Lite, Kevin Garnett was a superstar, your talking about a big that looks like a 2nd or 3rd option on offense type.
