Man the west is just soooo much better than the East now, no? Like not even close...

To me many of the 'pushover' teams that were tanking are now vastly improved n should have much more fight to them.. I mean look at the southwest division, that description fits many of those teams.

Portland is obviously the odd man out and looks like a whipping boy/tank candidate. So ya can see why Dame wants out.

This probably makes it easier for us to trade for one of their more expensive but very good wings though. Two seconds for Covington or something like that
Covington would be a good get for us. I mean in a vacuum he doesn't excite anyone but from the kill everyone with depth thing we seem to be doing here, its huge.

2 for 1?

Huerter for zubac and 1 of (Batum, Morris, or Covington).

Colby will be Austin Reaves level by the end of the uear anyway and Monk starts.

Talk about wasting FRP's, jesus. Just 3 gone for very very little.
They just dont have time to wait for too many of these players. Lessons to be learned in draft strategy though, to take Jalen Green and then Josh Christopher in the same first round.. always felt a bit like when the T'Wolves selected Ricky Rubio and Johnny Flynn in the same lottery, like theres no way this is gonna end with both of htem here long-term. So I'd say his time in Houston was a bit ill fated from the get-go. When Kevin Porter Jr signed that extension, that was also another signal Christopher's days were numbered in HOU.

I wonder if we can take Collins off their hands? Bringing Mamu back, Wemby probably starts at the 5 right? And still have Birch and Bassey on the roster.
Honestly wouldnt be surprised if Wembanyama comes off the bench, n they bring him along very slowly and/or play him at PF.

So actually I'd say Collins looks like possibly a starter for them.

Sandro is just the type of 5 you might be able to play Victor with at the 4 cuz he can shoot the 3 as well so it causes havoc for defenses trying to hide their bigs from having to go all the way out to the 3pt line to defend.

I'm obviously captain of the DDV fanclub, so don't hate this contract. Curious how they divy up perimeter minutes now though:

Brunson || Quickly
DDV? || Grimes
Barrett || Hart

Lot of mouths to feed. I guess you can swing Barrett down to the 4 to help.

I'd imagine Barrett is the centerpiece of any star trade the Knicks decide to make in the next couple of weeks (although considering the to big name stars on the market right now are guards, I'm not sure how that helps their minutes crunch regardless).
