That was easily the best defensive game of the season. They've started off these games with a bang defensively but haven't been able to take advantage of it due to poor shooting starts. Harrison Barnes has been an animal in the first quarter these last two games. Lots of steals and getting every 50/50 ball.

I'm sure the talking heads are giving us incredible analysis right now. Probably something about how the Warriors would be winning if all their players had their best games of the season at the same time.

Anyone watch the TNT feed? Jim Jackson was terrible. I don't think he's watched a single Kings game this season. Kept harping about how Sabonis has no right hand. No s*** Jim. It's fractured.
I generally, and for the most part, agree with your assessment that the game last night was our best defensive effort. But, holy H-E-Double Hockey sticks was the Warriors' lack of ball control/protection virtually non-existent. I've rarely seen a Warriors offense look so sloppy in my life.

Joke well received. I am of the assumption that a suspension is on the way. At least, that is what I am hoping for.
I don't trust Silver. He hasn't done the right thing most of his career and if he doesn't get out of the new players' way they're going to scramble to build new stars. We'll see how many TV games we get next season. Aside from salty ass dubs fans the world can't get enough of the Kings right now.

should get an extra game for his I need an x ray on my ankle comment.
I mean - yes I agree. I'm trying to be realistic. I've said before it I was commish his season would be done - because his clearly intentional action to injure - combined with the taunting and lack of accountability, AND his comments that he admitted he did it because he wasn't getting calls - all point to a mentally unstable player who is an injury risk to other players. You don't mess around with that. But we all know there will be leniency because of the players union and because this is a dynasty team with the highest valuation in the league. Silver works for the owners.

All that said - I think the league could also make a reasonable case, broken down like this:

2 games for intentional and excessive action with potential to injure
1 more game for taunting the crowd
1 more game for post game comments in which he justified his actions and publicly blamed the refs and explained this was a retaliatory move, etc.

So, given the full context that Silver will need to defend the punishment against an appeal - I think this logic could stand - and opens the possibility he could come back for a game seven.

So, realistically - I put this anywhere from 2-4 games. I have a hard time seeing just one game. I also have hard time seeing five games - given it's the defending champs and eliminating a star player from the rest of a series could be seen as excessive and cause problems for Silver with the owners and the Players Union.

No matter what the league says or does, the Kings need to send a message. Somebody deep on the end of the bench needs to lay their little golden boy out the first time he drives in the lane. Nothing dirty. Just a good old fashion hard foul. Channel that inner Charles Oakley.

I vote the big ass 7'1 280 pound Ukranian dude.

He's honestly already been dominating Dray in this series. Just need some HARD rebounds going forward

It's Adam Silver. Realistically I expect nothing from him.

If it was Stern I would expect 5 games. Rest of series minimum. Probably give 5 games at the start of next season if Dubs are eliminated with 2 or more games of the suspension remaining.

Dray crying in the presser that Domas got away with grabbing his leg when Domas got a T. Dude is a clown and I'm gonna be really happy if he's gone on Thursday
Listening to all the Monday morning Nat'l sports talk shows is also hilarious.

I swear most these pundits don't have a set of working eyes or a high IQ. IDK how you can watch that play, in entirety, and believe Domas was clairvoyant enough to "know what he was doing". Apparently these people firmly believe Domas has eyes in the back of his head.

There's just no chance that Domas could even know who was standing next to his head. When the play started, he was next to Klay with Dray well behind him and out of view with several players between them.

Then Domas barrel rolls to the ground (if someone wants to argue that Domas flopped against the smaller, weaker Klay I can at least listen to that argument) and in an instant he somehow knows it's Draymond and quickly planned to trap his leg?

Gimme a break.

The dude was simply and instinctively protecting his head. That's it. And in doing so he incidentally trapped Draymond's leg. I completely understand why Draymond and even his teammates believe it was intentional. Especially in the moment. But if you really review the play I just don't see how it was possible for Domas to know what was gonna happen, where he was going to end up and who would be there. He just couldn't in a couple fractions of an instant.

In a way, I can even understand Draymond's reaction, also in a fraction of an instant. He was being who he is in that fraction of an instant. If Steph or Klay had been the one to have their leg trapped, they'd have tried to pull away and probably then fallen down. What they wouldn't have done was the follow up stomp. Because that's not who they are.

Now, I have no problem with Domas receiving the technical. Players commit fouls and even sometimes flagrant fouls unintentionally. But the refs still have to call them. And while Domas' leg trap was an unintended consequence of trying to protect himself, I'm ok with the technical (especially considering the previous interaction between them a few minutes earlier).

But Draymond's reaction of forcibly stomping was over the line. So was his interaction with fans.

When you watch it in slow motion the leg grab lasts about as long as a curb stomp.

When you watch it at speed one of these actions is barely existent while the other is mind-numbingly violent.

I've said before Drugmound Green is the most emotionally fragile player in the league. The fact he's getting is shirt stuffed in by our 11th man is for sure getting to him. "I don't like how getting my shot blocked repeatedly makes me feel so I'm going to literally stomp my feet." The dude is a child.

Bingo.

I've rarely seen a Warriors offense look so sloppy in my life.
That is precisely the point regarding the Warriors that I made in the pre-playoff thread: "I submit that you cannot turn concentration on and off at will, just because the playoffs are finally here. Like anything else in basketball, it requires practice and consistency. Even two plays where you fire the ball into the stands are enough to lose an entire series."

You called it my friend. +1000 Sauce Points.

**EDIT** Nevermind, I'm dumb. Domas blew the lay up. I got so caught up watching what happened afterward that I missed that. LMAO.

Ok. I just noticed something else I gotta point out.

On the play where Draymond gets called for a foul against Sabonis for "hip/@$$" checking him, did anyone notice that it was an illegal inbound pass?

Apparently not the officials, even after a lengthy review.

Seriously, Domas scores the layup. Draymond then quickly inbounds the ball to Steph w/o ever stepping out of bounds over the baseline to do so. He literally imbounds the ball while still in play.

Then he hits Domas who falls down then the whistle is blown.

After the review, they overturn the call -- which I don't understand -- but even worse than that is -- how do they then award GSW the ball? It was clearly not imbounded legally and review should have caught that.

Can they not look at that part of the play? I mean, it's egregiously bad.

I get it, we won, but still...

The simple fact that we could, quite possibly, sweep the defending champs in FOUR games in ROUND ONE of the playoffs is beyond wild to me right now.

Tough task? Absolutely. We're now heading to their house, and they are still the defending champions.
Possible? Absolutely. We actually ARE that damn good.
If that happens - we solidify our current status of League Darlings.

The cute little Stephen A apology after last nights game was a start... but if we pull that off... we're basically America's Sweetheart once again.

The more I watch that nba Cali angle the more I think that Sabonis really was trying to protect himself and maybe grabbed his leg instinctually as opposed to trying to prevent him from going up the court. He had his one hand covering his face and the other hand holding (for a sec) the leg.
I think before Domas gave his interview was the context was basketball. We've seen Domas hit in the face for 84 games now without getting calls he should. The man has a friggin gash on his shoulder probably from something that didn't warrant a foul. When he says "I was trying to protect my face" I believe him.
