[KINGS] Comments that don't warrant their own thread (Redux)

Our health has clearly been a huge advantage for us. Although that could also have a lot to do with our youth

The Denver VORP bubble being pretty small is also noteworthy. They've always been a championship-level team but never had their key guys stay this health for this long. Murray and MPJ staying healthy is huge for them
Health and chemistry have been a huge advantage for the Kings, so when the playoffs roll around, as long as they manage to stay as healthy as they've been, they're going to know how to play together. Their best lineups will have logged a ton of minutes together. They haven't had guys on and off the injury report constantly. They don't have to load manage their key players. It may not be a huge edge in a league where talent reigns supreme, but any edge might be the difference between a first round disappointment and a surprise second round appearance.

Part of our health “luck” has been Sabonis and Fox toughing it out old school and playing through injuries. Domas fractured his thunb and has played on it for two months. Remember that Fox 2-3 week spell where everyone said “there goes Fox regressing again” and then we found out he was playing hurt. Even Keegan had a wrap on his thumb for a while and the team never formally announced an injury for him but clearly something was wrong with his hand. Gotta give the guys credit for wanting to play through injury when their peers around the league seem to take any chance they can to sit games.

Saw that post on Reddit. It was created by a Pelican fan with the thought process that the Kings success is only attributed to their health and will be bounced out the first round. Most of the replies are "who cares, just end the drought" and my favorite calling Zion and Ingram "an injury prone blimp and a stoned twig."

So the national media (well at least one) has finally admitted the domas trade was a win win and admitted they were wrong for criticizing it. Tim Macmahon on his Howdy Partners podcast stated as much. He was super positive about fox and his clutch play all year, especially after seeing him in person for the dallas mini series

Yep, and Karl Malone in Legends Mag said, "Why would you do that?" In reference to trade.

Naw, we're in the same boat as every other team in the playoffs with the possible exception of Denver, Boston, and Milwaukee: If we make our threes, we're dangerous. If we don't, we'll be heading home early.

The defense is a factor too in limiting open shots for the other team but I don't see some huge talent gap between us and the rest of the West. We have two legit All Stars. That puts us in the playoff conversation. How long we stay there is about the rest of the guys stepping up or shrinking from the moment and there's no way to know for sure which way things will go until we get there.

Next time at Moda I'll bring championship trophies and banners for the Roy-Oden-LMA squad that played .750 ball in the 82 games they played together over the span of 3 seasons.

Should I bring 5 or 6? Not sure how those second contracts would have all blended together.

Huerter and HB fare really well. Keegan is right about where you'd expect a rookie to be. Trey Lyles is in extremely solid territory.
Hmm, figured Keegan offensive LEBRON because of how effective his shooting is and how efficient overall he is. But perhaps because he provides next to no playmaking and little FTA equity, that's bringing the rating down. Near 0 on D-LEBRON is a very good sign though.

Lyles dead-center of that map is both good and bad news for us. Good news is his play in a Kings uni is probably pretty well sustainable with what he showed us last year and so far this year. Bad news is he might be pricing himself out of our range or even maybe a starting job somewhere.

Oh please. These guys need to learn how to let stuff go - PDA was the real idiot if you ask me
It's pretty ridiculous when Vivek was the guy that pushed for him and gave him his shot. Yep the morons giving "basketball advice" were at fault. Which unfortunately lead to Vivek's second massive failure, over correcting with a "popular" GM to right the damage that his hand picked geniuses caused. When you get past two horrific GM hires he's not half bad. Definitely a long way to go to reach good owner but I think a lot are coming around on him because he was never as bad as the worst owners in the league. The absentee slumlord types that don't even try or worse, the Sterlings and Sarvers of the world.
