Man, I am disappointed that Utah were able to catch the ball and shoot at the end...that's unacceptable. If you watch the replay, why is Keegan Murray allowed Lauri Markkanen to catch the ball to begin with? Helloo...Keegan, you're tall enough to deflect the ball, can't you? Jesus!!! Stop playing like you're small dude. This team is talented but there is some bone headed play and stupidity that make you want to scratch your head.
the way it was going, he was probably worried about getting a foul called.

I think Zach Collins is basically what the Kings are looking for and can come at a pretty decent price without touching our current rotation.
Maybe even for TD and Len and second rounder…or a combination like that. He has a team option next season.

Good physical player. Rebounds. Is a good contest at the hoop. Can pass and play in the flow. Score some points. If he can turn into Collins from the Blazers playoff run a few years ago that would be pretty cool.

Love seeing KZ with the DPOG chain. That 5 minute stretch where he erased Clarkson and Domas was resting was crucial in giving us a chance to win this one and keep it close. They had the momentum from the third and starting the 4th with an immediate turnover was amazing to reset the tempo
if he could just average 10-12 points a game you would probably have your future starting wing or big minute reserve

Watching Brown’s press conf. Saying this is one of the first games Fox overrode him off multiple times (which he gives him the green light to do), took the lead and won the game for the team. Said he’s just scratching the surface. It seems like he’s really pushing Fox to be that alpha he thinks he can be
When Fox's shot is draining at all 3 levels, he is un-guardable - his Pelicans games in 2021 season are still the best I've ever seen him play offensively. Tonight is definitely in the running for this season at least - Fox picked up Monk's slack tonight.

Its the same thing I'd said from the other day -of Monk, Huerter, Murray, and Barnes - if 2 have good shooting nights they have chance, if 3, they have an edge. Utah iss a pretty good team and they nipped em again with 3/4 of them having a good shooting night. all 4 on, and they'll beat most teams in the league.

Haha, just an idea. I think Vuc and Domas can potentially play together though plus I think Vuc has the lowest value of all 3. Heck, this is a coach who played Lyles/Metu most of the year and Vuc/Domas would run this offense to a T. You'd stagger both and if Vuc has to play less minutes so be it.
Mo Bamba has fallen out of favor in Orlando. I don't know what it would take to get him, but I think him and Sabonis would make for a good pair. Bamba has one of their best offensive and defensive ratings, and is shooting 38% from 3. I think he has the foot speed to play the 4 next to Sabonis, and even if the other guy is faster, Bamba has a ridiculous 7'10" wingspan.

Probably wouldn't even need that many points from him. The most Thabo Sefolosha ever averaged in a season was 8.2 and he had a looooooooong career as an elite defender on some pretty good teams.

As it is, KZ's shooting splits are surprisingly solid (albeit on a small sample size), he probably just needs to stop passing out of as many looks as he is now.

Ohhh, now we're talking. Absolutely perfect. He gives you some big man spacing, he's an excellent passer, very good rim protector. Was one of my favorite prospects in that draft, has just had absolutely horrid luck with injuries. I think could find 5-6 minutes next to Sabonis too if the match-up called for it.

I'm not sure anyone quite knows what it will take. Orlando hasn't exactly committed to winning yet, but it wouldn't surprise me if they would consider a package of expirings and a 2nd rounder and hope to make a free agent signing to put them over? They already have tons of high draft picks and maybe could use a proven vet and a new coach.

Might not even take that much to get him if we also find a way to take Doug McBuckets (who also happened to be ELITE playing off of Domantas in Indiana) off their hands as well.

Is he still not an injury mess?

NOW we're really talking. McBuckets and Domas were an elite, elite DHO duo in Indy for like a year and a half. I'm sure he'd be thrilled to get him back.

Issue is we'd have to include Holmes in any deal, which I'm sure they don't want to take more long-term money back. Although maybe Holmes would be a cheap replacement when/if Poeltl walks

There would be some short term money savings for the Spurs since McBuckets and Collins both make more combined than Holmes would next year. If i'm not mistaken Richaun's last season is a player option too so depending on how things go playing on the Spurs, he could potentially be off the books the same time Collins and McBuckets would have been.

Yeah could work. And they'd have their "starting C" figured out on the cheap while they suck and continue to tank. Would just be a matter of how many 2nds they want, but I think mostly is a pretty good base of a trade.

Could also just cut Collins out of the deal and then you get McBuckets and like Bates-Diop for the expirings and 2nds. That might be more appealing to them.

Yeah, I've been a fan since college, I just don't know how proven he is as a scorer at this point. Vuc or someone like that has an all star pedigree and the individual offense the Kings need. The Kings aren't hurting for productivity at all but they do have serious problems when it comes down to finding that next guy you can rely on night to night and it's costing them the ability to run at full strength with Fox and Domas out there at the same time. We'll see how things trend but that stat against the playoff contenders is usually a sign that you are lacking talent or ability somewhere in the rotation. Clearly Brown understands that the way he staggers the minutes Fox and Domas play.

Spurs get two extra picks, a nice rotation guard young enough to potentially be part of their future, 4 million off their books next year, and a big man who they could potentially flip for extra value if they utilize him right.

Kings get a backup big and another elite offball player who already has chemistry with Domas. They also gain a monopoly on NBA forwards from Iowa (McBuckets is from Ames).

Not sure how I'd feel if this is the way we spend our assets at the deadline but there are certainly worse trades to be made.

Poeltl is my top target but he might come too expensive and might be too good for a 16 MPG role.

Collins and Bamba are my 2 and 3, then drifting into guys like Boucher, Bismack, or Nerlens.

I wouldn't mind McDermott but I think our key bench forward should be a defensive guy like G. Williams.

McBuckets unfortunately makes too much money for that to work.
