Yeah, the only way in my mind we’d be in a position to be expected to beat Denver is if Jokic sat out.
Joker probably actually plays better with those ancillary guys out too. It forces him to be more aggressive as opposed to yesterday where he just sorta stood around for most of the night until it was absolutely necessary for him to take over.

Jokic. He could have you, me, Slab and Tetsu as his supporting cast and still find a way to win 45+ games in a season. People really don't want to admit it for some reason, but if he stays healthy, gets a ring or 2, he's going down as a top 15 player of all-time.
I think I'm good for two or three minutes. Just gotta clear my schedule for the next couple of months to recover.

Lol good one although I'm pretty terrible at basketball

he does own rotations to help.
Nah, the ownership belongs to the person putting in the help scheme that's hurt them all year. This team is completely different when switching and playing tight on ball pressure. That said, with a player like Jokic it's a lot tougher but you can make up for it going at him on the other end.

There we go. Fox switches onto Jokic and he goes after the ball. That's what he has to do. Now, it sucks it's him because of the foul potential but my goodness it's common sense. I watched Muggsy play and it's the only way.

no doubt that Fox's quickness is the way to disrupt Jokic vs going with strength because that just is playing into his game

Tangential thought but a fully healthy Nuggets team should be a regular contender. The only conceivably good decision in the 2018 NBA draft Vlade & co made was look hard at MPJ at #2 but passing as a long term injury risk that couldn’t justify that at #2. So that downside is sort of baked in with that team

And... right back to the senseless double team. I literally have never seen a team like this get the short end to this degree on doubles. DON'T DO IT!

The big hole that remains in Jokic's game is when he gets stuck in space on defense. He's actually become a super effective rim protector, but only when guys come to him, not when he's chasing guys around on the perimeter.

So Ordinary That It's Truly Quite Extraordinary

I think that’s why I’m going to turn it off. They had good thing going after a nice road trip. Come home to an incredibly favorable home stand where they could really solidify themselves as an upper echelon team in the west and then proceed to crap the bed. ,
It's frustrating for sure but these Denver games were never part of the "favorable" part. 99 team had its ups and downs too. If everything broke favorably for us to be a 6 seed and avoid the play in nobody would complain unless we spent considerable time in or near the top 4. I think the expectations got raised ahead of schedule and now it's time to recalibrate back to where we really need to be.
