I love how coach brown seems to have such a clear vision for training camp and the team. I don’t think I could have hoped for a more prepared and confident coach. We will see how his in game coaching and strategies turn out, but damn he is coming off way more impressive than I imagined when the hire was made. It seems like he has really really grown since his Cavs coaching days. Maybe I just wasn’t really paying attention back then but I don’t remember him as being anything like this.

Talking with one of the media guys, they are in the dark as much as we are in regards to starters but if going by who has been playing with Fox and Ox and HB the most, it’s been Huerter and Keegan….fwiw
"That three that you got Keegan right there" did not mean "Keegan is your three (SF)". Brown was describing a play on which Davion set Keegan up for a three-point shot.

Weird interpretation of a 40 second clip lol. Do we know if Keegan got busted all practice or just this clip?
I do wonder if Brown considers KZ as a defensive "opener" similar to how OKC used Thabo Sefolosha years back. Past comments on him having "DPOY" potential and how bad the Kings are as a whole defensively in general. Get his defense on wings that actually matter at the start of the game/3rd quarter and you close with Monk or Keegan. Wouldn't be a fan at all of it, but could see Brown as a 'Defense guy" getting his defensive choice in there right away.

Yeah this is what it should be. Monk makes more logical sense next to Davion's defense while Huerter's secondary ball-handling/playmaking/spacing is better suited next to Fox/Sabonis with the starters.
And hopefully Brown doesn't force Keegan to "earn" his minutes and keeps him in a consistent 25-28 MPG role every night. I don't need to see him closing right away, but I'd certainly much rather he be in there developing with Fox/Sabonis on a nightly basis and getting run with them.

Jalen Hardy looking good for like twenty minutes and then promptly looking like the worst basketball player in the universe for the next two weeks has already proven to be a repeated pattern for him so forgive me for withholding judgement on that trade until after the season.
