I don't think it's an overreaction to think this is one of the most pathetic performances we've seen out of this team in years. That doesn't mean we lose 60 games this year, but it does mean I wasted 2 hours of my life tonight.
I didn't think your post was an overreaction. I was referring to a couple of posts that make statements about the whole season from this game.

Kings got absolutely out coached tonight. Suns had their players in places just waiting for the Kings players to arrive. The turnovers were a product of this. Horrible performance all around.

its very defeating to hear the “They’ll learn” mantra in regards to things the Kings did pretty well last season..like take care of the basketball, move the ball, and not get routed by teams like the Suns

I think the answer to this one is actually pretty easy Tetsujin, it's been staring you in the face all game. International teams run plays to get guys open. Our idea of a "play" is to let the ball-handler dribble themselves into trouble and then throw the ball wildly to the perimeter. It is just one game but the complete lack of anything resembling a structured offense right out of the gate is highly troubling.
Except Bogi sucked last season too.

It’s one game but the fact is the team looked pretty awful tonight. It was discouraging how poorly they looked. On a positive note we have our draft pick this year.

What is your deal with Bogi? There's plenty of dudes to harp on tonight, but every damn post of yours is "OMGZ BOGI SUXXXXXXX!!!!!1!!!"

It's like you've just continued with your tirades from last season. He was bad tonight. We get it. So was the entire team.

Because Bogi was terrible last year and was also terrible tonight?

Major overreactions across the board, especially as people are learning the system and roles and the coaches are figuring out the rotations.

What I’ll be watching for in the first 10 games is:

1) Is Fox an all star. His shooting is still a concern and tonight gave me no indication he’s improved (did he even make a shot longer than 10ft)? Most players don’t just figure out how to shoot overnight, so maybe he’s reached a ceiling
2) Will Bagley breakthrough. This was a bad showing for him, especially as Ayton looks much better this year
3) Is Bogey the player we saw in the first month last year, or the rest of the year?
4) who will step up and be a defensive presence? Will Dedmon and Holmes play that role, or are we going to play as soft as what I saw tonight

Because we've been expecting him to fix his problems from last season only for them to somehow get even worse to start the season. He's a talented guy which makes the fact he's been John Salmons for a season plus troubling to say the least.

A tale of two halves. Looks like the players were believing the hype. Bagley got owned tonight by Ayton. BogI stayed on the plane. Coach made no adjustments that I could see. If he did, the players didn’t listen. No passing. No defense in the 2nd half. They look like a high school team. NOT GOOD.
