[Game] Kings @ Pelicans - Friday, Oct. 19 - 5 PDT

At the risk of being obvious I'm enjoying the offense but I really am concerned by giving up 70 points in the first half. This team has to start playing stronger defense or it's going to be a long-ass season!

Disappointing showing on the defensive glass. I felt the Kings did a good job against Utah. Turnovers as well.

The crappy officiating has carried over from that game though

Our entire big man rotation got in foul trouble guarding AD.

Joerger may want to lay into the refs at some point
You know, you’re right. A well timed tongue lashing to the ref that gets you a tech can go a long way sometimes to changing the way the refs are calling the game but you rarely see Dave go that route. Granted, being the Kings, they likely just toss him and continue to foul out our entire front court.

One step at a time. Numbers are good. Once the Kings start establishing themselves offensively then you can move to defense. Not very many young teams are going to have a shot trying to grind anything out, and they'll look like crap in the process.

I was thinking the same thing. He really needed to pick up a tec at the end of the second.

OK, this is where the Kings lack of looking for 3 pointers hurts. The Pelicans are just stacking in the middle. They are giving the Kings looks from the outside. They are going to need Buddy in this one. They need to set him up for a easy spot shots from distance. Preferably some drive and dish into some catch and shoot opportunities created by Fox.

Refs continue to have a huge negative impact calling anything that resembles a foul.

AD is a beast but Bagley couldn't have cared less. Wow.

Buddy. The ultimate no no no yes player. Sometimes I wonder if even he knows what he's thinking. Bit of black hole he has got to pass it more.

Fox has to be more aggressive. Drive to the hoop there isn't anyone that can stay in front of you. When AD slides over lob it up. If he doesn't slide, you shoot. Simple. Worked for Chris Paul for half a decade with the Clippers.

Jrue Holiday is a monster do not know whywed have buddy dribbling against him

It's a good test for Buddy but I agree. That foul call was horrendous though. Buddy needs to let the refs know he's in his 3rd year and shouldn't be getting the rookie treatment. On the other end they let Holiday just forearm shove him out of the way near the rim too.

Yep, but they switched Holiday onto Buddy and Holiday is hard to shake....I’m thinking a nuclear Yogi game can get us a win
