If you wanted to feel fairly optimistic about tonight's game, you had better not have watched the Pels/Houston game the other night. It was an absolute demolition of Houston by the Pels. The Pels out-rebounded Houston by a 61-49 margin and outscored the Rockets 76-44 in the paint. That's a margin of 73%. It was either Anthony Davis destroying Houston inside or the the Pels' guards penetrating at will to the paint for easy buckets. Mirotec is their version of Ingles. He scored 30 points off 20 attempts and had 10 rebounds. They brought Randle off the bench and he was very effective. Holiday is one of the best defensive guards in the league; he knows his role and he plays it very well.
I've got to believe that Joerger plays Bagley a lot in this game. Against Davis, Mirotec and Randle, he's going to need all of his rebounding and physicallity and then some. The Kings' guards must keep the NO guards in front of them, and the Kings' bigs have got muster everything they have to match the physicallity of the Pels' bigs. Davis is going to get his points - a lot of them. The Kings must play well against "the others" to have a shot.
