Preseason Kings vs. Jazz

That nice little pick and pop play for Giles is something they need to run for the other bigs too. It's still a lower yield mid-range look but it's a quick hitting play. The issue with the Kings since the Cuz trade is how much energy they spend moving around for no reason. At some point passing is just passing. Swinging the ball with no real destination isn't an offensive system.

This is why I didn't really have that much of a problem with the Kings force-feeding Z-Bo the ball last season. Sure, he's slow, old, and not really fit for the modern NBA but at least you knew what the guys on the court wanted to do.

Can the Kings just trade for a couple of guys who got some crazy in them. You know, if Ingles is talking trash, then put crazy guy in to knock the crap out of him.

Is it time to call for Joerger out?

No because it's preseason, but unless he's just doing what he's told it's looking like last year is about to repeat offensively and if it does and it works as poorly the players will tune out quick. Once that happens it's only a matter of time.

True but that isn't the answer and the stats told the story of how the Kings were worse whenever he was on the floor. Even if not it's like trying to cure alcoholism by switching from whiskey to vodka.

Don’t worry, guys, we’re going to win this one in overtime.

I could give two craps about a preseason game against a team that's excellently coached with real chemistry. The scary thing is for all the BS talk the Kings look to be prepping to play the same exact sets as last year.

Vlade’s must be getting warmed. You can say this is a preseason game, but he’s the one who is responsible of putting 6 big man in this team. This team is lack of firepower and balance

Joergers cut Skal out apparently so in the end it's not that big of a deal. If he's the one harping on them playing this way then he's the issue. If not, it's whoever is. This is all on the court right now. They won't be this bad obviously, but I would think this summers realization of the lack of assets or draw this team has due mainly to their own doing would be a shock enough to understand they are just a few short steps away from stuck considering they don't even have a pick this year. They can't draw in FA, they can't draft another significant piece, and they've tanked the assets they do have to the point that not a single one is listed in the top 100 this year. Yep, this is precariously close to Isiah Thomas Knicks level disastrous.

More offense isn't going to stop a team from dropping 70 on you.

But it will give the Kings a chance to showcase some of their young talent. Likely no amount of anything is going to take a young team from young to defensive juggernaut. However, young teams can have star potential and even star productivity. And if they don't good luck in your rebuild when you do want to build a real team.
