When Jackson is on, he's on. When he's off, he's off. There seems to be no middle line with him. It's why I was so surprised to see his rookie year average to 6.7pts a game. It's probably because he'll score 3pts, 5pts, then randomly explode for 15pts.

is Bagley hurt?

yes. and Hield can do both of these things in a single game :). miss first 8 shots than make next 8.

...Blob it's just SL.
I have seen enough to draw this conclusion. Giles is engaged on both ends. He cares about defending. Willie is disinterested. Giles also refuses to cede his ground. Willie gives ground. Harry also is comfortable away from the basket. Willie is lost away from the basket. Harry keeps his feet. Willie falls down. These are dramatic distinctions.

I wonder if Bags and Ayton had beef. Not that it really matters, they just don't appear to be pals.
Yeah I mean not sure if people are aware of the Hillcrest High situation here but they hired Marvins father as an assistant........ and then there was some negativity surrounding the program so Marvin dropped like 50-something and then all of a sudden the Bagley family left, the younger brother Marcus was enrolled there too.

The Kings' guard play was awful.

At this point I think backup PG might be a bigger concern than starting SF.
I don't think Frank Mason should be a lock to make our team... But then I watch SL and see all these others "PGs" who can't dribble the ball past half-court. Mason lacks vision with questionable IQ. He plays like a selfish undrafted PG fighting for an NBA roster. He doesn't need to go out there and play this way when he already has a guaranteed roster spot.

In the regular season, I pointed these things out. He takes low % shots and doesn't look for the easy pass.

However, backup PG isn't a bigger problem than starting SF. Mason would be a better starting PG than Jackson would be a starting SF imo. Very very close race that I wouldn't want to see.

Our young bigs showed up today even with awful guard play. Good God let's get a backup PG. Please. Mason is atrocious.
He is so detrimental to our summer league roster right now. Every time he tried to attack, which seemed like half the game, it was basically a wasted possession for us. The amount of times he has missed Bagley beating his man and getting wide open under the hoop makes me want to yank my hair out.

I don't think so. Justin Jackson is trash. I'd say trash as your starting SF is a fairly significant concern given quality of starting SF in the West (Durant, LeBron, George, Josh Jackson, Ingles, etc). Mason can hold his own against back-up PGs more than Jackson against these heavyweights, despite his struggles this summer. This is why I wanted LaVine. LaVine would have supplanted Jackson. Unless Vlade has another trick up his sleeve, we are screwed. Asking Boggy to play the 3 full time is untenable. We need to make a move.
