Unfortunately the Lakers may have hit on a couple more late draft picks. Wagner looked like he might be a good fit with LeBron in time and that McGillicuddy or however you spell his name kid looks like he could be a solid shooter off the bench.

great game - just got back. I'm surprised nobody called out Auguste. Looked really good imo - of course it is a small sample but I would not really hate it if they trade WCS for a real SF and put Auguste on the roster to play behind the young bigs and Kosta (unless Kosta goes in the SF trade too which is ok).

I'm sad to see Jackson just not able to get any traction - maybe tomorrow.

Don't understand any wet blanket stuff about the big 3 - they played great all three of them (Bagley, Giles, Fox).

What a deal for a $19 ticket wow. Can't wait for tomorrow's encore and I wish I could pull the trigger on a trip to Vegas to see Bagley vs Ayton but oh well.

Go Kings.
How was your ice cream?

I think that's part of what made this victory so sweet... the lake folks had put together a legitimately good summer squad, and no doubt expected to win last night. Love the

yep I loved Wagner and wanted the Kings to draft him too. I don't know why he went as low as he did. He plays very similar to Markkanen, and we all saw how exceptional Markkanen was this year. Lakers' young core will be fun to watch...but I think they're ruining it with their signings of Rondo and Stephenson...but better for us.

Watching him, I couldn't see why Howdy Doody was so smitten. He doesn't appear to have much of a BBIQ and my initial reaction was he's kind of a bully (or tries to be).

Yeah, I’m not sold at all. I believe he’s gonna struggle with the athleticism in the NBA and doesn’t have the skill set to compensate. He can’t guard anybody. His shooting is his only real plus. He many be Channing Fry at best IMO.

For as well as Peaches thought he played, dude was 6-18 and 2-9 from three. Not exactly efficient.

Have to remember that it's just one game. The kid has a huge frame, a good shooting stroke and isn't afraid to bang around inside. His defense will always be a bit of a concern but there's a lot to this kid's game. I was at the game and wasn't able to look at the box score so I couldn't tell he was shooting inefficiently. Most of the people around me were commenting on how good he looked against our big guys. I wouldn't take anything away from him. He showed plenty of flashes out there.

It seemed like Wagner started off well and was arguably player of the game in the first half. The Kings bigs seemed to settle a bit in the second half and Wagner lost some of his original luster.

Okay, I see the trend is to bash on Justin Jackson with a little WCS bashing mixed in. Jackson didn't look great, but he's active out there and took some nice shots, played aggressive d. Let's see how he does in these next two games.

I disagree, i though Wagner put it on the floor and made some decent moves and passes off the dribble a few times. Plus he's a guy that will look better once you surround him with better talent.

Oh, I get that. For sure. I'm not one to overreact to Summer League at all. I'm speaking more from seeing him at Michigan for several years to now.
Could he develop into a good player? Of course he could. I'm just not enamored with his game and don't foresee him becoming more than Channing Fye. But we'll see.

That's certainly not me. :) I'm still down with WCS and JJ. I think their skills will shine more when playing with a star player or two. You need players like that. Guys that don't put up impressive stats but they usually make impactful plays when needed, whether that's an extra pass, defensive stop, loose ball, open shot or whatever. JJ has always been a winner and has good BBIQ.

First time seeing him but he reminds me of Sabonis with more outside game/less inside also that Ukrainian/Russian is like a bigger Joe Harris and more athletic he will be a decent bench player.

I liked what I saw from Bagley I liked the fact he looked to block shots I think one area where he might struggle is if teams get bigger starting NBA SF's to defend him where they can negate his speed and until he gets stronger later in his career could disrupt him early on. Giles was solid looks more like a PF than a C to me loved his physical style probably makes Sampson redundant. I love the fact Bagley looks comfortable on the wing as he does near the bucket and his jumping ability is Shawn Marion like and he had a Shawn Marion game tonight.

Williams has that Joey Dorsey body a grown man, Jackson is softer than both Mclemore and Stauskus aside from being able to really contest shots which he did really well last season I'm not really impressed.
