If Shumpert is healthy he is going to at least give you D. G-Leaguer Jackson gives you nothing. He made 5 points on 6 shots 1 rebound 1 assist in 39 friggin minutes !!! Are you kidding me !!! You know how some players have a nose for the ball. He's allergic to the ball. He's always away from the action due to his timidity and fragility. I wouldn't be surprised if G-Leaguer was a vegan. He has no muscle and no aggressiveness. A lack of meat in the diet would explain a lot to me. We may as well waive him now.
I just can't shake the feeling he's just too nice for the NBA .

Just as posters like myself have to temper our "Enthusiasm", if your salty, just remember.

It's the first game of an inaugural and earlier than usual summer league game ;)
You do not have to temper your enthusiasm. As the ranking moderator around these parts, I think we're all entitled to be as effusive and effervescent as we like right now. We've waited a long time and we've earned it. You know what that means? Yep, the dancing elephant!!

GO KINGS!

With regards to Justin, he has a very flat shot. I had hoped with Peja on board and our resources he would have at least added a bit of elevation to his 3 pt shot. More rainbow, less arrow.
That said, he plays decent perimeter D and differs a lot which might just fit.

Fox looks like the superstar we all desperately want. He can do it all and I think he has the frame to fill out even more. In another year, look out.

Bagley looked pretty solid. I was thrilled to see nice form on his FTs- he looks like he will be just fine there. Nice to see effort on d including the blocks. Still concerned about his go to moves in the post but he has plenty of time to work on that.

Giles looked like someone who hadn't played basketball for two years :) You could tell his confidence increased as the game went on and he found a bit of rhythm. If I had to make a snap judgement on his future career based on just the one game, he looks like he tops out as a high end role playing starter. Maybe your 3rd best player. Of course only time will tell and he could turn out to be much more than that.

Can't wait to see the rest of the summer league games

Nice to see Grant in midseason form overly praising the opposition. You'd have thought Mo Wagner was the greatest rookie of all time. Dude was 6-18 and 2-9 from three. That's not great at all. And he got bailed out numerous times by the refs for some garbage points.

Can the dude shoot for a big? Sure he can. But I think he's gonna struggle against the athleticism he's gonna see on a nightly basis. He wasn't very efficient going against 2 really young, inexperienced bigs tonight. I find it hard to believe he's gonna fare well against seasoned vets with similar athleticism.

I think we need to at least acknowledge the symbiotic relationship between the Kings and the fans. G1C SOLD OUT for a freaking summer league game on a Monday night in Sacramento. The fans were louder than a lot of playoff games. These kids are gonna feed into the fan frenzy and the fans will, in return, rock the house.
Northern Alabama checking in

People always talk about Fox's speed ---- but his body control is uncanny too.

Bagley looked pretty solid.
That dunk early in the 3rd quarter was absolutely SICK! I didn't think he had a chance to throw that one down from the distance he was at.

just got back from game. Liked what I saw from both Bagley and Giles.

I think Giles will be even better when Bogi is playing with him. More than once Giles was open and yelling for the ball and no one passed it to him. That won’t happen with Bogi on the court. I expect we shall see better rebounding from Giles and when the get in real basketball more feeds into the post.

Bagley is quick and these defenders could not keep him from getting to his left hand. His free throw shooting looked better than expected. Not sure on his 3 point shooting. One looked very nice and one looked very ugly, not sure what to think about him.

I did not like Fox’s game at all. Many of those times Harry was jumping for the ball it was stopped in Fox’s hands. I saw no improvement in getting into the lane and finding 3 point shooters. I saw no improvement in 3 point shooting percentage. Yes he could drive and finish against D Leaguers but that will have limited success in real games if people don’t respect his shot or ability to find open shooters.

As for Jackson, it’s negligence in Vlade’s part he didn’t sign a wing player in free agency.

It's July 2.

great game - just got back. I'm surprised nobody called out Auguste. Looked really good imo - of course it is a small sample but I would not really hate it if they trade WCS for a real SF and put Auguste on the roster to play behind the young bigs and Kosta (unless Kosta goes in the SF trade too which is ok).

I'm sad to see Jackson just not able to get any traction - maybe tomorrow.

Don't understand any wet blanket stuff about the big 3 - they played great all three of them (Bagley, Giles, Fox).

What a deal for a $19 ticket wow. Can't wait for tomorrow's encore and I wish I could pull the trigger on a trip to Vegas to see Bagley vs Ayton but oh well.

Go Kings.

Bagley has the patience of a pro. He hasn't really forced anything tonight! I love that!
Pretty scary at 19. Really looking forward to the next game, as my main gripe with our young guys was that they rarely strung two-three good games together consistently. Would be nice to see them come out with the same kind of energy

Definitely a fun game to be at ... Fox looked engaged, and Giles and Bagley roaming around together made me excited. Frank looked good, and Daxter was active on defense. The Kings can cut Justin Jackson already, that dude still doesn't look like he wants to be on the court, or want the ball at all.
