Mo Bamba

Jjj or Bamba are the guys I'm hoping for at #2. I feel like the pick is gonna be bagley or Doncic but I just don't get how you pass on these two for those two.
Help me understand how Bamba or JJJ would help a team in the Playoffs? Which player/players in the just completed NBA post season do each compare with?

I dunno man, how does Anthony Davis help a team in the playoffs? What about Rudy Gobert?

Are you only looking for a Durant, Curry, clay, or Draymond? Makes no sense, that's four all stars on one team. If Davis or Gobert were on the warriors would you want them then?

Doncic is my pick at #2. I don't see AD or Gobert in this years draft. I think Bamba and JJJ will be NBA rotation players and maybe starters in time. Doncic I see as a starter.

Bamba would be sitting a lot teams will curve him up from the perimeter and put a small on him. Jackson would help though he’s elite pick and roll defender and can switch while hitting 3s

Why haven't we heard about Mo Bamba visit to SAC yet? Annoying how clueless this front office is. Bamba should be rolling through town today or tomorrow. Whats the hold up? He was just in Phoenix. I am just going to assume we are drafting a jacked back high school phenom or trading down for a few extra scraps then the player we target is picked one pick ahead of ours. Anything better than this will be a pleasant surprise.

Pheonix is rumored to be trading up to get another lottery pick.

Bamba has a great agent I’ll give him that he has some of you fooled

No thought to our reputation?

Some just don’t understand the issue or refuse to

I want Doncic, but if we MUST #Kangz it up and trade down, Bamba would be intriguing.

I like him more than Porter Jr, that's for sure! Bummer there hasn't been word about a work out.

unfortunately Bamba isn't even in the rumors, no workouts attended, no face to face, nothing...disappointing to say the least. I'll just follow the team that drafts him very closely in that case.

I wouldn't read too much into this. They could work him out the day before the draft and it'd generate huge buzz..

If the Kings want Bamba there's little or no incentive to advertise it a week or two in advance. Instead they should be doing their due diligence to try and figure out if theres a way they can trade down and still land Mo, i'm hopeful thats whats going on.

Anthony Davis a super all-around player on both ends of the court that finally has some decent talent around him. There was no shame in losing 4-1 to GSW. Gobert doesn't compare to AD in the least, nor has he been the driving force behind anything. The Jazz have primarily been a one and done team. This past postseason, Donovan Mitchell proved to be more important than Gobert.

He said look at Utah's record with and without Gobert on the court.
And how's that translated in the postseason? Regular season is fine and dandy. In recent years, we've seen ATL and DEN win 50-60 games in the regular season too. But what did it really mean? Rudy Gobert is a nice complimentary player, but is in no way as impactful as those singing his praises have fooled themselves into believing. If he never becomes more than a rim finisher on offense, his impact will always be limited.

This is a silly perspective, Kings still gotta crawl b4 they learn to walk.. For ATL it means they had enough to beat the other east squads, but not LeBron. Hayward left Utah at the altar and they took it in stride, made the playoffs and won a game in the 2nd rd, a feat Hayward's never accomplished and did it without their starting PG.

Utah had bar-none the most impressive crowd of the playoffs, their rabid, and love their coach, they love rudy and the team. That jazz team, is not a bad blueprint to follow, they themselves emulate the 04 pistons team.

Rudy Gobert is underrated, take it from some1 who's watched almost all of his games. What he does defensively goes beyond stats.

If you go back and look, Utah was one of the worst defenses in the league til they traded Kanter, and started rudy. IMMEDIATELY after the switch Utah went from worst to best, and they held teams to like 95ppg the rest of the szn.

You have to remember that defensively Gobert is absolutely best case scenario for Bamba. He doesnt seem to have the same kind of insticts that make Gobert the best help defender and rim protector in the league. He wasnt great post defender either. At the moment only thing elite about him is his wingspan and dont get me wrong, that wingspan is unbelievable and allows him to do some things others cant. But the most important thing for a rim protector is isnticts and without them being elite, he projects to me more as a Myles Turner than Gobert.

Lol u never even saw or heard of Rudy Gobert at the same age.Rudy born in 92 went in the 2013 draft. Did u see the batum video i posted? He knows Rudy a long time and says Mo is 3 years ahead. No offense but i prefer opinions of those on ground level like that over random forum posters who dont even make eloquent arguments or astute points.

"onlything elite about him is wingspan" u dont get it at all lol. Ppl here need huge refreshers on the basics. It's like ppl here take the perspective of "he's got most everyone else fooled but not me ---- I can spot a lemon a mile away, ima kings fan ive seen lemons in all shapes and sizes" if that how u feel, fine. My gripe is just about how silly and far fetched the explanations of these stances are. I feel its one of those "the devil is in the details" things when ppl are explaining WHY

Grant also said that he would trade the #2 pick straight up for Kyle Kuzma.
Grant's career has been built on bombast. And actually I think he rode the tails of Jerry, since Jerry had that folksy charm and better insights. It was weird all the way to the end Grant would laugh inordinately to something not all that funny. Jerry would drop this off-hand comment and it would be like he was at the high point of a Chris Rock concert. What are you laughing so hard at Howdy Doody!? Well, this is a strategy of an empty headed person to fill air time and convey this jovial spirit, which is really just pretense. Grant became like a teacher as part of a teacher union. Not really good at her job, the students are bored and can't wait for the bell to ring, but the employee has tenure so she sticks around collecting them checks. In 28 years or whatever his crowing achievement was "Put it in the book and send him to the line" and "Ohhhh boy.....!!!!" It will go on his tombstone. The play-by-play man really is suppose to speak sparsely and show enthusiasm at the appropriate time. So in a way this simple job description suits a simple person! Over the years I have found that muting the sound on all NBA games actually helps you pick up more of what is happening on the floor, because you are not distracted by someone's running commentary and affectation. In the same way you learn a lot more about teams and players when you are in the front row of a game versus watching on TV. What was my point? So yeah a guy who advocates Kuzma for the #2 and laughs uncontrollably at mildly amusing comments is a guy you may want to mute for more than one reason.

Gobert was awful when he came into the league. Bamba is way ahead of him. I remember Rudy when he came into the league. It was cringe worthy just to watch him run up and down the floor and try to make plays. Bamba logged a record setting 3.05 sprint time. With regards to your instinct comment, Bamba has an excellent block to foul ratio which reflects good instincts an unwillingness to bite on weak fakes. If Bamba shows the same improvement as Gobert over 3-4 years he will be a Top 10 NBA player. It is egregious the Kings have not invited Bamba to town. The only pardon I will grant to them is if his agent declined an invitation which could be possible.

Try to argue the post itself and the things I said and then maybe someone might bother to give you an answer. I dont care if you disagree with me. Its just that your reply is a dumbed down generalisation where you make assumptions about what I think and then argue against that (so basically you are arguing "against yourself"). Im not spotting any lemons or any of that other nonsense. If you disagree and want to have a conversation, tell me the things I said you found incorrect and then tell me why you think that. Dont ramble about some lemons.

And btw. Brandon Roy said MPJ is the next Durant. Brandon Roy is on the ground level so what should we make of that..?

Ur post and claims lack merit and im not gonna address absurd oversimplifications and blanket statements seriously. Your posts along with 1000's of others here are EASILY debunked, but it'd be silent words falling upon deaf ears.

You are so wrong i could paragraph after paragraph slicing your each and every point to shreds, i dont care to hold your hand and walk you thru it tho.
Brandon Roy was Porters HS coach at nathan Hale sr szn. What do you expect him to say?

Well then dont say anything if you dont have anything to say. Seems pretty simple. I dont know why you are so butthurt but all I said was that:
-Gobert is the best help defender and rim protector in the league and having elite insticts helps a lot with that
-Bamba doesnt have elite instincts yet
-Bamba wasnt great post defender in college
-IF he doesnt develope elite instincts, he projects more towards Myles Turner than Gobert.

Seems pretty reasonable to me.

Well I would say he is on the ground floor so maybe that isnt the most important thing after all?

Let's build a perrenial playoff team first before we start worrying about getting over the hump in the post season.
