Why has Vogel not had more success in Orlando? Certainly the magic have underperformed under him. Ibthink tbey are worse now than they were last year. Would anyone still prefer Vogel over Joeger?

Their FO really screwed the entire team up. They started with Harris, Oladipo, and 11th pick. Traded all of those players and basically wound up with Terrence Ross and a late 1st round pick..

Last off-season they went and acquired both Ibaka and Biyombo. 2 very good players, but doesn't fit with Gordon-Vucevic. Payton started the year horribly.

He wasn't playing like this in the beginning of the season. He looked almost like a lost-cause.. think Jimmer bad. It got to the point where lineups started changing. They forced Payton to come off the bench because he simply wasn't good enough. Since they put Payton on the bench, they wanted to give him a scorer, so they benched Vucevic too. On top of this, they expected Gordon to take an offensive leap in his game, but it didn't happen.

So lots of offensive misfits and young players failing to develop.

They also don't have a franchise player yet. Vucevic is their best player, but his benching made things iffy. To make things worse, their lockerroom had problems, and Vucevic was vocal about his unhappiness. Speculation was that some players didn't believe that certain other players put 100% every night.

So lots of dysfunctional all around... but it's been silent because Orlando isn't a big team.

I understand Grant feeling he has to gin up excitement for the team on the court. But good grief - Buddy stumbles and barely gets off a shot that manages to go in and it's the "best move Buddy has made in a Kings uniform"? I really think I must be watching a different game or something...
