Defensive Big Man Choices

I expected a lot of McGee, but so far he couldn't live up to the expectations. He blocks shots, but in my opinion lacks Basketball-IQ. I don't know, if he can turn his career around.
There is a solution for that. Trade two players of the Kings with low basketball IQ for him. We gain one and we get rid of two. It would still be a positive gain and we won't feel as bad if it does not pan out.

Imagine a front court rotation of Cousins, Landry, and McGee. I think it will be good.

At the moment, not counting Hollins, and I don't count Hollins, we have two players that are 6'11". Everyone else is in the 6'8" range. Right now, whenever Cousins comes out of the game, were getting killed. For that reason alone, if we were to trade for Smith, or whomever, I wouldn't want JT to be involved, unless the trade involves aother player with similar length. I love what Reggie Evans does, but he can't defend the Nowitzki's and Gasol's of the world. Moreland, at 6'10" would be a welcome addition, but obviously the Kings don't think he's ready for big time yet.

I watched Kentucky play last night and they have three, maybe four players on that team that are shot blockers. We have none, unless you count Cuz, who is doing a much better job this year.
The Kings better trade for a 1st rounder then because it looks like there's a good chance they won't have their #1 pick this year.

Anthonys decent, knows his role but I think we can do better.

I really like John Hensons game. Kid still needs to gain some weight but I can see him being a Dalembert type with better offensive arsenal.
Milwaukee is loaded with shotblocking bigs so he could be available

I like Henson, but not sure what has happened to Henson this season, he looked good last year, but this year, not so much. My guess is he is available since Kidd doesn't look like playing him a lot, something like Nick + Dwill for Henson and Mayo?

I'd rather try to get Ed Davis as a free agent in the off-season than trade for John Henson. If Nik Stauskas is going to be on the table, I hope we're targeting Larry Sanders instead.

Yeah Kidd seems to prefer Sanders and Zaza as of right now. We would definitly have to give up a solid player or prospect to get Henson prolly JT or Stauskas.. double double with two blocks a game potential is rare though.

Hi guys, how many guaranteed contracts do you have? I would like to suggest checking a guy who's playing with the Bucks right now, but who will get cut soon (Bucks already have 15 guaranteed contracts). Micheal Eric played a really great game yesterday, and he was pretty good in the DLeague last year as well. Good rebounder, good size (6-11), really impressive defender, 26 years old, will play for a minimum contract and will do all the dirty work.
Still this.

Also Henson has lost a rotation spot too love to get him here landry isn't gonna cut it.
Still thin as a rail, being benched as a supposed defensive specialist on a primarily defensive squad certainly raises some questions, his supposed floor stretching skills are not really there.

Also isn't capable of playing the 5.

How about Nikola Mirotic from Chicago? Once Taj Gibson comes back, he's buried on the bench again behind Noah and Gasol. This guys has nice size to be a good PF next to Cousins and has a good outside touch and rebounds well

On a serious note the Bulls are not trading away a talented 6'11 22 year old to us unless we give them Ben or a lottery pick which I would never do. I reckon the Bulls would give up Taj before they gave up Nikola.

His offense is underated and hes got a nice mid range jumper, which would be great beside DMC. I'll agree he's thin for PF, but he looks like he could be a "Dalembert wirey type of strong" if he works on it.

His body looks the same as when he entered the league. He was 40-124 from the field outside of paint. Henson is 4-6 this season, but those were all short jumpers from the left block, that do absolutely nothing for spacing.

Hes the same weight as Anthony Davis, Brandon Wright, Young Dally, Ed Davis.. putting on 15 pounds would get him to Ibaka weight at 235.. His midrange jumper has really nice form, i dont see why he cant be a consistent threat from out there...

While we are all looking at McGee as the guy that we should be looking, I get the feeling Pete would rather got after Faried. I think something odd is going at at Denver between Faried and Shaw/franchise. I think they are experiencing buyer's remorse like they did with Nene and are looking to get away from that extension. Don't be surprised if we get mentioned as a team going after Faried.

Faried might have the worst contract in the NBA when you compare what he can do to the money he's going to make (13mil I think), I'm sorry but Faried is crap he's a glorified Reggie Evans (who makes 1/13th of what he Faried does), Faried would be the worst possible option to go after at this point in time.

Can't shoot
Can't playmake
Can't defend inside or stretch 4's

Can dunk......when open. If Faired was making the same money as Reggie than yeah I would love to have him but he's making what Thompson/Landry/Reggie are combined.

The Clippers at this point are DESPERATE for a athletic SF like Derrick I wonder if there is any possible 3 way deals we could get done with the Clippers and D-Will to land either a shot blocker of back up PG.

Agreed. We would have to take on Lawson and Afflalo to make up for that negative contract.

Given the events of the last few days, do you still think that someone like Faried would not interest PDA?!

I think we will go after him. Not that I agree with it' its just exactly the type of player that the front office would like. He runs like a wind, is super athletic and he dunks. Right in line with the style of play our hierarchy wants to see.
