4-1

4-1 baby! Nice Win. I was afraid they were going to come out overconfident against Denver after beating them in Denver. But Kings took care of business. Nice to see Ben hit some shots. Cousins just going into BEAST mode this game!

The true test will be these next 4 road games against Phx, OKC, Dallas, and Grizzlies, and then World Champs at our home.

Makes me feel all 2001 ;)
Maybe not quite that dominating but hopefully. To me it might be like 1999-2000 when Kings first burst onto national stage a bit with couple big ESPN games and finished 44-38. Then next year 55-27 and arrival of the original Glory Years.

People talking about the 1999-2000's teams....I don't see that...this reminds me of the 1994-1995 team that finally got competitive and ended up with 39 wins and narrowly missed out on the playoffs then made it the next year.

The flow and energy of this team is unbelievable.
Jason Thompson, after all this time, finally understands his roll and becomes a key to our success.
Cousins, the leader. Quietly discussing with ref on missed calls. Showing restrain and respect. Destroying everyone.
Benny Mac blocking shots and taking names. Not looking completely lost out there. Playing within himself.
The team as a whole getting to the line but not forcing shots. Ball movement, literally looking like the ****ing Spurs at times.
Most importantly, having fun and doing what we knew they could do.
I ****ing love this team! Go Kings!

I think the talent level between this team and the 94-96 teams is far more comparable than that of the 1999 team
Are you sure? We started Tariq Abdul-Wahad at SG for most of the season and Corliss Williamson was our #2 option after C-Webb. You can see the beginnings of that glory year roster and rotation but Lawrence Funderburke was our third big and playing 20 minutes a game for goodness sake. J-Will and Peja were both rookies then and at the time not all that superb.

How so? This team has more talent than the '99 team
Maybe inside but not outside. And that's only narrowly considering CWebb/Vlade. Backcourt of JWill with Peja drilling dagger 3s tops current Kings IMO - plus Adelman is better than Malone at least at this point in his young career as NBA head coach. It's an endless debate always:)

Yup..I'm sure
Also, when was Corliss ever the #2? I know he was one of the top options, but Vlade was always the #2 and I would say Jason #3 then Corliss

The road will show us who we are.. I am not predicting anything big to happen on the road. Maybe 2-2? Then coming home to the spurs is terrible.

Christie came on a couple seasons later. Chris didn't want to be here yet...and Vlade had not done much of anything yet for us. Nobody was predicting anything from that team

Really? Not in my opinion. This is the same team everyone was complaining about 2 weeks ago for being poorly put together. They are playing good ball right now and I am extremely pleased and excited...but let's not jump the gun after 5 games

Yes. We have two team USA players playing like All Stars so far. That '99 team didn't have that

From the espn write up.

"JUST CUZ

Cousins carried on a running conversation with Nuggets coach Brian Shaw the entire game, and at one point walked over to Denver's bench and needled the players for the way they were defending him. "Are you guys kidding me?" Cousins said as he walked by. Shaw was disappointed his players didn't respond. "Nobody else took it personally," Shaw said. "The way I feel about that is if nobody wants to stand up to it, then we should get our butts kicked and we did. He should talk to us that way if we don't have any professional pride as a group."
